Mr. Pennell is a member of the Inter national Society of Painters, Sculptors and Gravers, the National Academy of Design, National Institute of Arts and Letters, London Society of Illustrators, Architectural League of New York, and of etching societies in Europe and Amer ica. He was chairman of the Interna tional Jury of Awards for Engravings and Lithographs, Universal Exposition, St. Louis, 1904. He has been awarded honors as follows: Honorable Mention, Paris Exposition.
