The results indicated that a composite score involving only four of the tests could be used to effectively predict performance grade and pas-fail status for the training course. The Marines were found to have been selected from relatively higher military-screening-and-classification (MSC) test score ranges than the Naval trainees and their training-course failure rate was lower.
