It was determined, therefore, to cull from it and several other works Of a like character and equal reputation, such material as would make a reliable companion to the family and sea medicine chest. With this Object they have selected the matter from the following sources, viz.: Savory's Compendium Of DO mestic Medicine; Dinneford and Earland's Medicine Di rectory; Coxe's Companion to the Sea Medicine Chest; Household Surgery, or Hints on Emergencies, by J.
