Bemis, of the University of Chicago. The North American Review brought out in January, 1894, Vol. CLVIII, pp. 24 - 29, an article by the new Populist governor of Colorado, Davis H. Waite, on Are the Silver States Ruined? And in its next number, February, 1894, Vol. CLVIII, pp. 247 - 249, allowed J. E. Leet to reply to Governor W'aite with Colorado's Bright Outlook The Situation in Colorado was again discussed in May, 1896, in the Yale Review, Vol. V, pp. 50 - 57, by L. R. Ehrich, who saw the manner in which gold production was gaining upon silver, and changing the financial balance of the state.
