Glamour, romance, secrets and lies. Katie Price's eighth novel is irresistably romantic and passionate. On a sun drenched beach in Barbados, feisty sports presenter Charlie meets the irresistibly gorgeous Felipe Castillo. Instantly attracted to each other, they have a passionate affair, until he walks out with no explanation. It is only then that she discovers that Felipe is related to the Spanish royal family, is a brilliant rider and the lynchpin of the Spanish Eventing team. Back in London, Charlie puts her heartbreak behind her by going out on the town. Until Felipe returns and turns her life upside down again. Soon they are the golden couple of sport, followed by the press wherever they go. But not everyone is happy to see the two together: his disapproving mother for one, and the anonymous person that is waging a hate campaign against Charlie at work. And as the pressure on the couple mounts, a dark shadow from Charlie’s past comes back to haunt her. Will Charlie be able to overcome her past in the name of love?

The American claim that we should love and be passionate about our job may sound uplifting, or at least, harmless, but Do What You Love exposes the tangible damages such rhetoric has leveled upon contemporary society. Virtue and capital have always been twins in the capitalist, industrialized West. Our ideas of what the “virtues” of pursuing success in capitalism have changed dramatically over time. In the past, we believed that work undertaken with an ethos of industriousness promised financial stability and basic comfort and security for our families. Now, our working life is conflated with the pursuit of pleasure. Fantastically successful—and popular—entrepreneurs such as Steve Jobs and Oprah Winfrey command us. “You’ve got to love what you do,” Jobs tells an audience of college grads about to enter the workforce, while Winfrey exhorts her audience to “live your best life.” The promises made to today’s workers seem so much larger and nobler than those of previous generations. Why settle for a 30-year fixed rate mortgage and a perfectly functional eight-year-old car when you can get rich becoming your “best” self and have a blast along the way? But workers today are doing more and more for less and less. This reality is frighteningly palpable in eroding paychecks and benefits, the rapid concentration of wealth in the hands of a tiny few, and workers’ loss of control over their labor conditions. But where is the protest and anger from workers against a system that tells them to love their work and asks them to do it for less? While winner-take-all capitalism grows ever more ruthless, the rhetoric of passion for labor proliferates. In Do What You Love, Tokumitsu articulates and examines the sacrifices people make for a chance at loveable, self-actualizing, and, of course, wealth-generating work and the conditions facilitated by this pursuit. This book continues the conversation sparked by the author’s earlier Slate article and provides a devastating look at the state of modern America’s labor and workforce.

Written with age and knowledge taken into consideration, these are one man's reflections on the changes in the lives of gay men over the past 70 years. History alone will tell its own story, but this book comprises the personal memories and experiences of Tim, who was born in the first Baby Boom. From the simple act of 'coming out' to friends and family to the admission of behaving normally to conform with belief or expectancy, and the heartache this can cause many years down the line, it is hoped that the subjects covered will help even just one soul to realise they have done no wrong, but accept the true fact of life...it's a 'sin,' but all in the name of love. The book is aimed at anyone who feels trapped in marriage, who remains 'in the closet' because of the laws and the fear of being outed.

Eveyday is a blessing. Even when a storm approaches, life takes a turn but as God promised we will always see the rainbow after the storm, stretched out through the clouds. God knows what we can handle but sometimes we forget what God can handle. As a father to a son and a mother to a daughter, love and faith is so strong and merciful. God is mercy and love, gentle but strong, he brings joy and correction, and he comforts the soul and gives correction. I feel that God has brought me through the trails and walked with me through many stroms to see who I was before I could see that which is ahead. Love From Above Hear My Cry and now Redeem, In the Name of Love has centered my heart even more towards God and His Son, Jesus Christ. As much as we try to find love, as we try to live a perfect life, and as we try to become that prefect christian we find that we need God even more. God has blessed me with so much but I still fall short of His glory, my heart burns with the desire to love Him that loved me first. God told me to keep my eyes on him. I pray that God continues to use me and these poems to touch your heart as they have touched mine.

What would you do if you were told you had cancer ravaging throughout your body and may only have three months to live? This is the inspirational and informative story of how Mercedes A. LaPine acquired that news over thirty years ago, rejecting chemotherapy and radiation and found a program that would ultimately turn her fate around. It wasn't a miracle or a new promising product but a very simple concept that became profoundly revolutionary and flatly rejected by the American Medical Association and the American Cancer Society, over 60 years ago. Although there have been advances in chemotherapy and surgery in recent years, First Circle Medical, Inc. reported five years ago, that over 1,800,000 patients die every year in Europe, North America and Japan with lung, prostate, breast cancer and melanoma. Mercedes A. LaPine did not become a statistic, she experienced first hand how to regenerate her ailing body and restored it back to health by flooding it with nutrients from organic raw juices plus raw and cooked organic vegetarian foods. Mercedes used the body's own healing mechanisms for eliminating the cancer that had invaded her body. This advanced dietary program has cured many chronic and degenerative diseases to include cancer. Now you can read this account of Mercedes journey and absorb the accumulated wisdom of a remarkable woman's challenge to sustain life. This information will not only help you to restore your body to wellness, but maintain good health permanently and provide you with an enormous amount of alternative resources.

"A major case study of the book concerns men who have murdered their wives or partners allegedly 'out of love'. It is estimated that over 30% of all female murder victims in the United States die at the hands of a former or present spouse or partner. How can murdering a loved one be associated with the assumed moral and altruistic love? Not only is love intrinsically ambivalent, but it can also give rise to dangerous consequences. Some of the worst evils have been committed in the name of love."--BOOK JACKET.
