In the Holy Bible, there is a great end-times power known as "Mystery Babylon the Great," symbolized by an immoral woman dressed gaudily, who fills the world with her fornications, abominations, possessions, and power. Her rise and zenith are great; her fall is even greater. The world rocks when this happens and declares, "What is like this great city?" This book makes the argument that the United States of America, with its riches and its power and its decadent lifestyle that has so influenced the world in the past two centuries, not to mention its unique birth and system in world history, is indeed the real-world fulfillment of this Scriptural entity. There are passages in Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Revelation that discuss Babylon in detail. The prophecies in Revelation refer directly to end-times Babylon, and the Old Testament prophecies point toward her too, using some language very similar to that found in the New Testament. The book is written by someone who has also lived a very unique life, one that he believes was meant to directly symbolize and artistically express America.
