The principal use Of grammar distinctions, in his humble opinion, is to make a foundation, Upon which, to base rules Of Syntax. Distinctions which are not useful in this respect, especially if not correct, should be discarded. And this is the principle assumed, in generalizing and con densing the distinctions.
