Bishop Edwards: A Gospel for African American Workers During the Age of Obama is a moving and exhilarating story of a bishop in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in the city of Baltimore. This fictional minister of the gospel has been imprisoned for his social conservative views of gender relations and marriage, as well as for his activism on behalf of aggrieved African American workers. From federal prison, this faithful minister addresses his constituents, which is a predominant African American trade union, through twenty-one formal letters (i.e., epistles). Borrowing heavily from the Christian teachings of the Apostle Paul and Martin Luther King, Jr., the topics of these epistles range from marriage equality, gender conflict, racial conflict, class conflict, trafficking in illegal immigrants, the sex trade, the deterioration of the African American family, political economy, law, and religion--all in an effort to defend his Christian faith and to vindicate the universal struggle for peace and social justice.

Bishop Edwards: The Epistle Letters to An African American Trade Union is a moving and exhilarating story of an African American minister of the Gospel who has been imprisoned for his social activism on behalf of aggrieved African American workers. From federal prison, this faithful minister addresses his constituents, a predominately-African American trade union, through twenty-one formal letters (i.e., "the epistles"). Patterned after Dr. King´s "Letter From the Birmingham City Jail" and the Apostle Paul´s New Testament letters to the early Church, the topics of these epistles range from politics, criminal justice, employment discrimination, trafficking in slave labor, organized crime, Christian love and marriage, the deterioration of the black family, and much more all in an effort to defend his Christian faith and to vindicate the universal struggle for peace and social justice.

Through the years, I have noticed that many people have lost many things such as; marriages, break-up of friendships, etc. I feel that it is because of bad character. I feel a need to reach out to those who need to build a better character; to make themselves better. There is a need for one to behave oneself in a manner to be an example to their family, or to those that are around them. One should take time to be a better person. Therefore, one should try and study hard to build their character. In my study, I feel that an early age should begin to build a good character. There should be a place for developing Christian character. Sunday school seems to be the place. Sunday-school teaching is spiritual work. It means soul culture. When the Sunday school pupil has been won to Christ, the work has been, but fairly begun. Everything must now be done to help the pupil to form habits of Christian living. The prayer life must be strengthened; Bible Study must be encouraged; and the graces of the spirit must be acquired. Self-mastery must be won.

Four hundred years ago, an Italian chess master, Gioachino Greco, discovered an extraordinary bishop sacrifice on h7 that often leads to checkmate or a significant material advantage. More amazing still, he recorded the idea! This book chronicles the history of that idea, what many have come to call the Classic Bishop sacrifice, from its discovery and formative years through its remarkably complex uses in modern chess. During the past century, several annotators have attempted to explain the circumstances under which the sacrifice works, and when it doesnt. Edwards reviews their efforts and, in a spectacular ninth chapter, provides a modern classification. His taxonomy of the sacrifice is comprehensive and full of pleasant surprises for beginners and even accomplished masters. This book represents a thematic approach to chess tactics and strategy. Careful readers will suddenly discover that they are able, quickly and accurately, to see 5-10 moves or more ahead in these lines. Here you will find hundreds of carefully annotated games. Learn from brilliant moves and strategies; and take full advantage of others instructive mistakes.

The subject of "Judgment" is a large one in the word of God and encompasses such, as the judgment of the cross, the judgment on the believer in chastening, the self judgment of the believer, the judgment of the believer's works, at the judgment seat of Christ, with the exception of the last mentioned judgment, which has already been considered. These judgments are not related with the eschatological program of God. It is necessary to consider four judgments that have eschatological implications: the judgment on the nation Israel, the judgment of the nations, the judgment of the fallen angels and the judgment of the Great White Throne. This study will give explanatory reasons for these judgments.

I have searched and surveyed the Books of the Pentateuch and found many Laws that God has set forth in the beginning. God also set the orders. God has placed in order the food diet. Man's most sacred privilege is freedom of will; the ability to obey or disobey his maker. This sharp limitation of self-gratification, this dietary law, was to test the use he would make of his freedom; and it thus begins the moral discipline of man. Unlike the beast, man has also a spiritual life, which demands the subordination of man's desires to the Law of God. The will of God revealed in His Law is the one eternal and unfailing guide as to what constitutes good and evil, and not man's instincts, or even his reason, which in the hour of temptation often will light darkness and darkness light. These laws and orders that he wills out and tries to the best of his ability to explain, is to be obeyed until God says otherwise. The author will point out other laws and orders in this book.
