The book Complex Analysis through Examples and Exercises has come out from the lectures and exercises that the author held mostly for mathematician and physists . The book is an attempt to present the rat her involved subject of complex analysis through an active approach by the reader. Thus this book is a complex combination of theory and examples. Complex analysis is involved in all branches of mathematics. It often happens that the complex analysis is the shortest path for solving a problem in real circum stances. We are using the (Cauchy) integral approach and the (Weierstrass) power se ries approach . In the theory of complex analysis, on the hand one has an interplay of several mathematical disciplines, while on the other various methods, tools, and approaches. In view of that, the exposition of new notions and methods in our book is taken step by step. A minimal amount of expository theory is included at the beinning of each section, the Preliminaries, with maximum effort placed on weil selected examples and exercises capturing the essence of the material. Actually, I have divided the problems into two classes called Examples and Exercises (some of them often also contain proofs of the statements from the Preliminaries). The examples contain complete solutions and serve as a model for solving similar problems given in the exercises. The readers are left to find the solution in the exercisesj the answers, and, occasionally, some hints, are still given.

The Problem Solvers are an exceptional series of books that are thorough, unusually well-organized, and structured in such a way that they can be used with any text. No other series of study and solution guides has come close to the Problem Solvers in usefulness, quality, and effectiveness. Educators consider the Problem Solvers the most effective series of study aids on the market. Students regard them as most helpful for their school work and studies. With these books, students do not merely memorize the subject matter, they really get to understand it. Each Problem Solver is over 1,000 pages, yet each saves hours of time in studying and finding solutions to problems. These solutions are worked out in step-by-step detail, thoroughly and clearly. Each book is fully indexed for locating specific problems rapidly. An essential subject for students in mathematics, computer science, engineering, and science. The 19 chapters cover basic, as well as advanced, methods of numerical analysis. A large number of related applications are included.

This book is intended as both an introductory text and a reference book for those interested in studying several complex variables in the context of partial differential equations. In the last few decades, significant progress has been made in the study of Cauchy-Riemann and tangential Cauchy-Riemann operators; this progress greatly influenced the development of PDEs and several complex variables. After the background material in complex analysis is developed in Chapters 1 to 3, thenext three chapters are devoted to the solvability and regularity of the Cauchy-Riemann equations using Hilbert space techniques. The authors provide a systematic study of the Cauchy-Riemann equations and the \bar\partial-Neumann problem, including Hórmander's L2 existence progress on the globalregularity and irregularity of the \bar\partial-Neumann operators. The second part of the book gives a comprehensive study of the tangential Cauchy-Riemann equations, another important class of equations in several complex variables first studied by Lewy. An up-to-date account of the L2 theory for \bar\partial b operator is given. Explicit integral solution representations are constructed both on the Heisenberg groups and on strictly convex boundaries with estimates in Hölder and L2spaces. Embeddability of abstract CR structures is discussed in detail here for the first time.Titles in this series are co-published with International Press, Cambridge, MA.

Functions of a complex variable are used to solve applications in various branches of mathematics, science, and engineering. Functions of a Complex Variable: Theory and Technique is a book in a special category of influential classics because it is based on the authors' extensive experience in modeling complicated situations and providing analytic solutions. The book makes available to readers a comprehensive range of these analytical techniques based upon complex variable theory. Advanced topics covered include asymptotics, transforms, the Wiener-Hopf method, and dual and singular integral equations. The authors provide many exercises, incorporating them into the body of the text. Audience: intended for applied mathematicians, scientists, engineers, and senior or graduate-level students who have advanced knowledge in calculus and are interested in such subjects as complex variable theory, function theory, mathematical methods, advanced engineering mathematics, and mathematical physics.
