Blakley Barclay knows her parents are up to something. They’ve been matching all her siblings and even some other people in her hometown of Mistletoe. But the man they’re wanting to pair her up with? A huge pro-ball player with more muscles than brains and she is NOT interested. So she turns to her best friend for help. Martin Zedler is on the receiving end of some match-making of his own. He is equally uninterested. Blakley’s proposition that they pretend to be interested in each other to foil the romantically inclined efforts of her parents seems like a good idea. Until a well-meaning do-gooder enters them into Mistletoe’s annual Christmas Kissing Contest. When they’re crowned the winners, the town goes on a crusade to catch them kissing every chance they get. How will their friendship ever survive? Listen to the incredible voice actor, Jay Dyess, perform this book for FREE on Say with Jay channel on YouTube. Reviews for Dreaming of Her Best Friend's Kiss: ★★★★★ "Sweet and true to form with spiritual insight along the way. This one was not as heavy as a subject as the last two in the series. It was lighter still sweet and definitely good character growth." - Supermom ★★★★★ "This book kept me on my toes. I kept wanting to go to the back to see if they kissed or even got together. Such a great series. Can’t wait to read the next book." - Mary ★★★★★ "I loved this story of best friends recognizing their deeper feelings for each other. Blakely goes through a great journey of self discovery and reflection that allows her to grow in a wonderful way." - Spencer ★★★★★ "Reading this series and have loved reading each and every book so far. Love every book I've read by this author." - Cheryl ★★★★★ "I really enjoyed this cute story and the messages it gave. The matchmaking Pastor Race and his wife, Penny were at it again. This time with their daughter, Blakely and her long-time best friend, Martin. I laughed at some of the things they put Blakely and Martin through. This was a great story, a fun story, with wonderful characters." - Janet Books in the Cowboy Mountain Christmas series: Dreaming of Her Cowboy's Kiss Dreaming of His Convenient Kiss Dreaming of Her Secret Santa's Kiss Dreaming of His Snowed In Kiss Dreaming of Her Best Friend's Kiss Dreaming of His Pen Pal's Kiss

Reviews for Dreaming of His Convenient Kiss: ★★★★★ "How you wove together the events and happenings with Denver and Natalie was a intense journey with true blessings and God's Love. You captured her children and their behavior beautifully and hilarious events that made me laughed heartily and cringed to others that showed how to deal with serious circumstances. Your storytelling immensely captivated me throughout this book." - Judi T ★★★★★ "Wow, I loved this book! Right away I fell in love with Denver and was rooting for Natalie. Loved how they were both striving to hear from God and obey him. Really enjoyed all the humor and clever dialogue, especially the emails. This is a great book and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves hardworking, honest, God loving characters and a great, imaginative storyline. Two thumbs up! 👍👍" - LEMB ★★★★★ "This is my favorite story of this series. It is funny sweet, and though the reader is in on the mystery of who the two leads are, one can hardly wait until they discover who each other is and how God has drawn them together! So much fun to read and reread!!" - Patrice ★★★★★ "I made the mistake of starting it at bedtime. Don’t do that to yourself. You’re not going to want to put it down. Mom-of-Five and WelderMan stole my heart and my attention from the first paragraph." - Charlene ★★★★★ "This book is just absolutely perfect in every way. "This fascinating little volume explores the stuff that dreams are made of and the role the pandemic is playing in them. The dreams from Barrett's survey are riveting vignettes--from terrifying to touching to hilarious. Her decades of scientific research and clinical practice inform incisive commentary on what these dreams reveal about society's response. She offers simple exercises for managing anxieties over COVID-19 and for inspiring adaption in this unique period of history. A great read!" -Amy Tan, author of The Joy Luck Club DREAM: I looked down at my stomach and saw dark blue stripes. I "remembered" these were the first sign of being infected with COVID-19. DREAM: My home was a Covid-19 test center. People weren't wearing masks. I'm taken aback because I wasn't asked to be a test site. I'm worried that my husband and son (who actually lives out of state) will catch it because of my job as a healthcare worker. DREAM: I was a giant antibody. I was so angry about COVID-19 that it gave me superpowers, and I rampaged around attacking all the virus I could find. I woke so energized! Since the COVID-19 pandemic swept around the world, people have reported unusually a vivid and bizarre dream lives. The virus itself is the star of many--literally or in one of its metaphoric guises. As a dream researcher at Harvard Medical School, Deirdre Barrett was immediately curious to see what our dream lives would tell us about our deepest reactions to this unprecedented disaster. Pandemic Dreams draws on her survey of over 9,000 dreams about the COVID-19 crisis. It describes how dreaming has reflected each aspect of the pandemic: fear of catching the virus, reactions to sheltering at home, work changes, homeschooling, and an individual's increased isolation or crowding. Some patterns are quite similar to other crises Dr. Barrett has studied such as 9/11, Kuwaitis during the Iraqi Occupation, POWs in WWII Nazi prison camps, and Middle Easterners during the Arab Spring. There are some very distinctive metaphors for COVID-19, however: bug-attack dreams and ones of invisible monsters. These reflect that this crisis is less visible or concrete than others we have faced. Over the past three months, dreams have progressed from fearful depictions of the mysterious new threat . . . to impatience with restrictions . . . to more fear again as the world begins to reopen. And dreams have just begun to consider the big picture: how society may change. The book offers guidance on how we can best utilize our newly supercharged dream lives to aid us through the crisis and beyond. It explains practical exercises for dream interpretation, reduction of nightmares, and incubation of helpful, problem-solving dreams. It also examines the larger arena of what these collective dreams tell us about our instinctive, unconscious responses to the threat and how we might integrate them for more livable policies through these times. Deirdre Barrett, PhD is a dream researcher at Harvard Medical School. She has written five books including Pandemic Dreams and The Committee of Sleep, and edited four including Trauma and Dreams. She is Past President of The International Association for the Study of Dreams and editor of its journal, DREAMING.

First published in 1996. This new book gives voice to an emerging consensus among bereavement scholars that our understanding of the grief process needs to be expanded. The dominant 20th century model holds that the function of grief and mourning is to cut bonds with the deceased, thereby freeing the survivor to reinvest in new relationships in the present. Pathological grief has been defined in terms of holding on to the deceased. Close examination reveals that this model is based more on the cultural values of modernity than on any substantial data of what people actually do. Presenting data from several populations, 22 authors - among the most respected in their fields - demonstrate that the health resolution of grief enables one to maintain a continuing bond with the deceased. Despite cultural disapproval and lack of validation by professionals, survivors find places for the dead in their on-going lives and even in their communities. Such bonds are not denial: the deceased can provide resources for enriched functioning in the present. Chapters examine widows and widowers, bereaved children, parents and siblings, and a population previously excluded from bereavement research: adoptees and their birth parents. Bereavement in Japanese culture is also discussed, as are meanings and implications of this new model of grief. Opening new areas of research and scholarly dialogue, this work provides the basis for significant developments in clinical practice in the field.

Mia Jenrow has always known she's destined to be a professional ballerina. In fact, it’s in her blood—according to family legend, her too-many-greats-to-count-grandmother once danced for the Paris Opera and was painted by Degas himself! Her parents say it’s just a fantasy, but to Mia it’s so much more than that. It’s her fate. Mia is planning to spend a magical summer in France pursuing her dream, but as she pirou-ettes into Paris, she soon realizes it may be a bit more complicated than she hoped. For starters, there’s her rival, Audrey, who will stop at nothing to show her up. There’s her ballet instructor, whose impossibly high standards push her to the breaking point. And then . . . there’s Louis. Devastatingly, distractingly charming Louis. He’s eager to show Mia his city—and Mia is more than happy to hop on his Vespa and wrap her arms around him as they pass the gleaming lights of the Eiffel Tower.
