Book Synopsis Capital and Operating Costs of Pollution Control Equipment Modules by : Herbert G. Blecker
Download or read book Capital and Operating Costs of Pollution Control Equipment Modules written by Herbert G. Blecker and published by . This book was released on 1973 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt:
Pollution control at Army installations has become a key element in the management process as changing policies stringently dictate the treatment and storage or disposal of wastes harmful to public health and the environment. It is the responsibility of installation personnel to ensure that manufacturing wastes emitted to the environment are minimized. One of the means of controlling manufacturing wastes is to use pollution control equipment (PCE) that is an integral part of the manufacturing process. A team of researchers at the U.S. Army Construction Engineering Research Laboratories (USACERL) researched commercially available PCE and identified critical PCE components. Research results were incorporated into a guideline report for installation personnel responsible for designing and purchasing PCE, so that they can procure the most efficient and cost-effective equipment.

Based on the author’s fifty years of experience in applying and operating air pollution control equipment, this book provides easy-to-read information on basic air pollution control technology and is the quintessential resource for the busy engineer and for those who do not have formal training in air pollution control. FEATURES OF THE THIRD EDITION Uniform and consistent applications information for comparing the effectiveness of different technologies. Provides answers to questions about how to reduce operating costs and how to achieve peak performance. Concise descriptions of each equipment with diagnostics and testing suggestions. New chapters on optimization techniques that help readers deal with different types of hardware for better performance and efficacy.
