He Awakens Me is a collection of weekly meditations composed by Shirley Hudson. They are in the form of soliloquies. Interacting with happenings and observations, she finds analogies that speak to the territory of Christian experience. To facilitate greater practical and devotional usage, the writer has provided not only a topical list of the subjects covered, but also an index of the related scriptural passages that figured in each soliloquy. The soliloquies were first sent out on a weekly basis via email to an ever-increasing mailing list. Many who received them expressed appreciation and suggested that they be published in book form in order to reach a wider audience. The author prays that these personal meditations will not only reach a wider audience, but that they will help produce in every reader that quality of life that truly honors and glorifies her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

In the poetic memoir That Which Awakens Me, Ananda Kiamsha Madelyn Leeke shares her journey of self-discovery from a law school graduate to a creative woman who learned to open the door to authentic living. When Leeke graduated from law school in 1989, she was a twenty-something with a life plan focused on becoming a successful attorney. Using her multiple bar exam failures and two bouts of unemployment as a catalyst for self-discovery and lifestyle reinvention, Leeke followed her own unique path during the past twenty years and made changes in the way she feels, thinks, lives, works, and manages her finances. Through poetic reflection and personal stories, she shares the lessons that taught her to trust her intuition, expand her spiritual practices, heal emotional wounds, tap into her creativity, discover her passions, open her eyes to hidden opportunities, volunteer and serve her local community, travel the world, and heed her calling as a writer, artist, creativity coach, yoga teacher, Reiki Master practitioner, radio host, blogger, social media strategist, and innerpreneur. That Which Awakens Me provides insight for anyone seeking guidance on how to both handle and benefit from the ups and downs of their own life journey.

The Old Testament is a formidable book, a historic journey moving from creation, through the time of Noah and the flood to Abraham and his descendants, Moses and the children of Israel, high priests, judges, kings, and the spoken words of God through the prophets. In my studies of the books of the Old Testament, I find that GodaEUR(tm)s purpose and revelations are obscured with pages and pages of detail that makes for cumbersome reading and a somewhat distant grasp of its inspirations. I wrote this book to summarize the main points, from Genesis to Malachi, and to provide the historical elements such as dates to tie the story to historical settings and events. I have also pointed out along the way the presence of Christ and the Holy Spirit in these Old Testament writings. Most of the books of the Old Testament are prophetic. There were approximately eight hundred prophesies in the Old Testament; and a large portion, approximately six hundred, have been fulfilled. There is not a single biblical prophecy that pertains to a time that has now passed that is not fulfilled. My goal is for this writing to serve as an easy and comfortable format for the reader to get to know God, who we are to Him, why we are here, and to discover His wonderful pathway leading to eternal life. I want to reach those who are led to the Word of God and, upon opening up a Bible and reading a few pages, become discouraged by its vastness and disconnect of such long-ago times. The Old Testament truly has a long but remarkable timeline of history, and I have endeavored to tie its writings accordingly, in a brief walk through these inspired books of the Word of God.

This book is dedicated to those who feel they have gone beyond the limits of Gods love and forgiveness, and is written for believers and unbelievers alike. There are those who think they have done things so terrible that God could not possibly love them. I know this is true because I was one of them. I used to feel that God had given up on me, but theres a problem with feelings like that. Not only do they hinder you from coming to Him, but they can obscure the truth of what God has declared in His Word. It is my profound prayer that as you study how God has demonstrated His love for us, you can put your fears and misconceptions aside. As is true in every area of life, a true understanding of Gods Word will set the captive free!
