Holy Echoes by Peggy Priest is a must read for anyone who is asking, "Is God speaking today?" You will be encouraged, enlightened, and challenged as you read through these "God stories," and in the process you will meet the God of Jeremiah 31:3 (NLT), who says, "I have loved you... with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself." - Rev. Kendall and Cathy Thomas Clergy Executive Couple United Marriage Encounter Have you ever asked for God to speak to you directly? I know I have. "Send me a fax, Lord!" I used to shout out. I know, that dates me, but you understand the concept. What I have found out over the years is that He does speak to each of us through the still, small voice in our heart, and what someone once described as "Holy Echoes." This book is for everyone out there who is looking for confirmation that God is speaking to you. Sometimes He does speak to us directly, but often it is through the still, small voice during our everyday activities. A clever person once told me that if you hear the same thing over and over through different venues, you are hearing "Holy Echoes" from God, trying to share something important. I believe that "God stories" are when He speaks to you through everyday events and obligations. Come discover, through our journey together here, how He speaks to you today!

The Sacred Echo challenges readers not to listen for the seemingly distant voice of God as much as to listen for the echo. When God really wants to get your attention, he doesn t just say something once, he echoes. He speaks through a Sunday sermon, a chance conversation with a friend the next day, and even a random email. The same theme, idea, impression, or lesson will repeat itself in surprising and unexpected ways until you realize that maybe, just maybe, God is at work. As God s voice echoe"

The Levitical Day of Atonement was a day of penitence, confession, and judgment for Israelites of loyal character and a day of covenant renewal for the nation of Israel. On this day, sin was removed from the tabernacle through the application of sacrificial blood to its altars and compartments, as well as by the dismissal of the goat for Azazel, which carried all the community’s sin to a “barren land.” As it became ingrained in the veil of Jewish consciousness, the Day of Atonement underwent a “process of abstraction” over many centuries leading up to Second Temple times, when the Most Holy Place lay devoid of the ark of the covenant and its mercy seat. Continuing to reverberate in the Jewish imaginaire, the Day of Atonement was received by the authors of the New Testament, including John of Patmos, to whom its sacrificial typology provided irresistible motifs which they used to proclaim “the Christ event.” By utilizing a coherent intertextual approach, this book explores how John wove the Day of Atonement into the colorful literary tapestry of Revelation.

Life is a journey. This is a book that brings the truth of Gods Word to discover the true purpose of life from the very beginning of our new life in Christ to the conclusion of this mortal life. Echoes from God is a must-read for us all. Evangelist Dwight Thompson I have written Echoes from God for you. Yes, you. I do not know now, nor did I know then, who you are, but God does. He has given me many detailed pages of concepts and ideas based upon the Scriptures that I felt impressed were to be written just for you. Echoes from God is what I believe He wanted me to say to you. As a Christian, you will find Scriptures and ideas useful for witnessing to others or for leading you into a lasting relationship with the Lord. I have written Echoes from God in a chronological order that defines a need for repentance and salvation all the way through to the day we, the Christians, look forward tothe Rapture. We will cover the following topics: repentance, salvation, trials and temptations, prayer, water baptism, Holy Communion, baptism in the Holy Spirit, tithes and offerings, the Christians responsibilities, the Christians inheritance, witnessing and living a Christian life, and the Rapture. If you want to know more about the Lord and have a fuller, more meaningful relationship with Jesus, then I challenge you to read Echoes from God. You will feel a personal spiritual growth as you begin to go through the pages and study His Word. God bless you for taking me up on this challenge!

When you look in the mirror, what do you see: a person who truly believes he/she is on the right path, or one struggling daily to find a sense of identity? More importantly, how do you see God as you seek the purpose for your life: as your back pocket Lord, or as your personal guide? For some, they may feel they are on the right path but have drifted away from discerning and understanding God’s will for them. This inspired pastor and author Dennis Lee to establish a meaningful resource for readers wanting to grow in their relationship with God, in his new Christian discipleship book; From Here to There: A Journey to Spiritual Transformation, part of his Spiritual Formation series. As an “A through Z roadmap on discipleship,” Dennis offers readers a biblically-sound guide to familiarize readers to biblical principles of what it’s like to be a follower of Jesus Christ, being found in His likeness. Each chapter clarifies this developing relationship with God, established when you accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord, and furthered through changing how you approach living this life in Christ. Pastor Lee takes the reader along this narrow road described by Jesus, looking at a Christian’s true identity when pursuing God’s presence and becoming aligned with His will. To make sure his readers’ stay upon this path, Lee looks at Satan’s potholes that damages a person’s spiritual transformation, as well as God’s speed bumps to help believers slow down and not miss God’s promises for their lives. It’s a journey to the ultimate destination of Heaven with God, and this guide will help you make the necessary changes and take the required steps to stay upon God’s path.

Why is justice fair? Why are so many people pursuing spirituality? Why do we crave relationship? And why is beauty so beautiful? N. T. Wright argues that each of these questions takes us into the mystery of who God is and what he wants from us. For two thousand years Christianity has claimed to answer these mysteries, and this renowned biblical scholar and Anglican bishop shows that it still does today. Like C. S. Lewis did in his classic Mere Christianity, Wright makes the case for Christian faith from the ground up, assuming that the reader is starting from ground zero with no predisposition to and perhaps even some negativity toward religion in general and Christianity in particular. His goal is to describe Christianity in as simple and accessible, yet hopefully attractive and exciting, a way as possible, both to say to outsides ÔYou might want to look at this further,Ö and to say to insiders ÔYou may not have quite understood this bit clearly yet.Ö
