In 2004, the Cayman Islands faced the most devastating hurricane in recent history. Hurricanes are not a phenomenon to this trio of islands located in the western Caribbean Sea; right in the middle of Hurricane Alley. The only saving graces for the residents of this God-fearing nation were their earnest prayers, low-tides and daylight which allowed almost all of them to escape certain death.
