The young and brilliant violinist Riya Narukawa has a terrible secret: there are two people inside of him, a white persona and a black one. And in this ultimate chapter of the Il Gatto saga, like a musical collision, two different things begin to overlap. As the aggressive black personality begins to become unsure of himself, the timid white one becomes increasingly aware of the other person within him. In all the confusion, Black Riya tries to seduce Atsushi, while White Riya inadvertently accepts an invitation to spend the night with his sempai Kousaka. As Riya’s song builds up to a violent climax, his mind is quickly going off-kilter. Who will prove to be dominant and who will be erased into oblivion? Black or white? And who will be there to stand beside the Riya who will emerge from the chaos? Atsushi or Kousaka? Read on and hear the music play out?

Atsushi Ikeda is your typical “nice guy.” He’s so nice, he even has this habit of bringing stray cats home. But even he is quite unprepared for what turns up at his doorstep one day...a cut and bloodied young man. The injured boy turns out to be famous violinist, Riya Narukawa. Seeing the frail Riya arouses Atsushi’s compassion for wounded creatures. He decides to look after the young musician, even giving him a key to his apartment in case Riya needs a place of refuge. But Riya has been on his own most of his life and is quite unsure as to how to react to Atsushi’s acts of kindness. Worse, Riya actually has another personality within him that is not so frail and timid as his other self. Listen to the duet of Atsushi and Riya as the seeds of attraction begin to blossom between them. Then things come to a crescendo as Riya struggles between his dual personalities. Finally, the symphony builds up as a third wheel surfaces. Truly, Il Gatto Sul G. is one musical masterpiece to be swept up in.

The book presents a history of classical mechanics by focusing on issues of equilibrium. The historical point of view adopted here restricts attention to cases where the effectiveness of forces is assessed on the basis of the virtual motion of their points of application. For completeness, hints of the alternative approach are also referred, the Archimedean for ancient mechanics and the Newtonian for modern mechanics. The laws resulting from consideration of virtual motions are named laws of virtual work. The modern formulations of the principle of virtual work are only a particular form of them. The book begins with the first documented formulations of laws of virtual work in the IV century BC in Greece and proceeds to the end of the XIX century AD in Europe. A significant space is devoted to Arabic and Latin mechanics of Middle Ages. With the Renaissance it began to appear slightly different wordings of the laws, which were often proposed as unique principles of statics. The process reached its apex with Bernoulli and Lagrange in the XVIII century. The book ends with some chapters dealing with the discussions that took place in the French school on the role of the Lagrangian version of the law of virtual work and its applications to continuum mechanics.
