Muslims believe that Jesus Christ - the one called Isa Ibn Maryam in the Qur'an - was just a mere prophet. Many Muslims are completely unaware that their Qur'an suggests - quite often - that the Messiah is God.Muslims believe that Jesus Christ is not the Son of God Almighty and He is not the way to the Almighty God, but Allah is God Almighty. Their main difficulty is that how can God Almighty whom does not marry have a Son. A carful study of the Quran shows and proves it is true that Jesus Christ is the son of God Almighty and not only that, but salvation is also through Christ Jesus alone and the only way that one can worship and serve the Almighty God is trough Jesus Christ. The interesting thing is that the Quran teaches this.

The subject of the Deity of Jesus Christ has been a topic of controversy among people of many religions and among few who profess Christianity as their religion. Historically, the first person to declare the deity of Jesus "as the Son of God" was the Apostle Peter. It is of great significance to note the reply given by Jesus when the Apostle Peter called him the Son of God. He replied, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 16:17) The subject of the deity of Jesus is understood not by sense knowledge but by revelation, hence, the reason for the prayer at the beginning of this book.Because the Quran recommends to Muslims, and even the prophet (Muhammad), to take the bible as a book of reference, this book will seek to present biblical clarification to every verse of reference to Christ's divinity which will be taken from the Quran, so that perfect truth may be established in the hearts of the readers, the power in the Word of God being able to work in you to will, and to believe, and to do of His good works."And if thou (Muhammad) art in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto thee, then ask those who read the Scripture that was before thee" (Q10:94)"And before thee also the messengers We sent were but men, to whom we granted inspiration: if ye realize this not, ask those possess the Message. (Q16:43)Some years back, my situation was no different from that of people who lack revelation in the knowledge of Christ, and so, the divinity of Jesus Christ was incomprehensible to me. I grew up to know him as Isa the son of Maryam, a prophet like every other prophet having no special attributes than other prophets. I never knew that within same book which is commonly used to deny his deity are engraved traces of truth revealing a divine personality in Jesus. It is my utmost desire that revealing some of these pointers to Christ's divinity in the Quran, readers of Islamic orientation may be compelled to seek further truth in the Bible concerning this divine personality.

The first book to examine the controversial Qur'anic phrase which divides Christianity and Islam. According to the majority of modern Muslims and Christians, the Qur'an denies the crucifixion of Jesus, and with it, one of the most sacred beliefs of Christianity. However, it is only mentioned in one verse - 'They did not kill him and they did not crucify him, rather, it only appeared so to them' - and contrary to popular belief, its translation has been the subject of fierce debate among Muslims for centuries. This innovative work is the first book devoted to the issue, delving deeply into largely ignored Arabic sources, which suggest that the origins of the conventional translation may lie within the Christian Church. Arranged along historical lines, and covering various Muslim schools of thought, from Sunni to Sufi, "The Crucifixion and the Qur'an" unravels the crucial dispute that separates the World's two principal faiths.
