My poetry and short stories will take you on a journey and give you a brief look into my life. Everything I write is from the heart and is inspired by personal experiences. Love speaks of the love that has filled my heart. Lust speaks of the many temptations, seductions, and emotions that stimulate the body. And loss speaks of the hurt that can be brought on by love or feelings of lack thereof. The short stories of passion allowed me to delve into my creative side. The many days I sat daydreaming and wondering what if are now out of my head and on paper. Often we fantasize but we keep our fantasies to ourselves. This allows me to explore those passions outside of a mere daydream. Love, Lust, and Loss reflects life experiences and everything in between. My book takes a look into every aspect of every emotion that love and loss of love elicits. I hope that what I write inspires you to feel something youve never felt, reminds you of a love from your past, present, or future, and allows you to see that you are not alone in your emotions.

Poetry on Love, Lust & Loss is my poetry diary. In the moments when my emotions are the most intense and to the surface, writing them down like this is how I sort out what's happening with me. Putting pen to paper and noting what I'm feeling in the same moment that I'm experiencing it, I find, helps me to tap into elements of it, which I might not be able access in the same way again. Volume 2 delves into heartache and longing. It explores meeting a few Mr. Wrongs, longing for things I shouldn't and finding my way to the other end of the dark tunnel of these years. I hope that you'll be able to identify with the twenty-something girl I was here, who was trying to navigate and battle with the ebb and flow of LOVE, the pleasure and torment of LUST and the devastating impact of LOSS... (of love).

If the post of Poet Laureate was allocated on the basis of popularity, Carol Ann Duffy would have been the first woman to hold this prestigious post. Like Philip Larkin in his day, Duffy is both a poet respected by many academics and teachers, and widely read and enjoyed by children and adult readers of poetry. This is the first full-length collection of essays on the poetry of Carol Ann Duffy, approaching and exploring her work from a variety of literary theoretical perspectives, including feminism, masculinity, national identity, and post-structuralism. This lively anthology situates Duffy's poems in relation to current debates about the state, value and social relevance of contemporary British poetry.
