I am physically disabled, that is, a dwarf (pseudoachondroplasia) with advanced arthritis (especially in the fingers), degeneration of the cartilages in the shoulders, hips and knees, and a less than 50% level of workplace endurance. As a result, I was placed on permanent disability and can no longer work the proverbial 9-5 job. Since I can no longer work a regular job, I do have the ability to write books - and this is my first published book. It was written for all who hunger to learn the truth (as I have learned) of what the Bible reveals and teaches about how to overcome false prophets, the world, the wicked one, the flesh, as well as how to live a God-fearing life to glorify Him. There are only seeds of truth planted and watered in this book...but God will give the increase, 1 Corinthians 3:6-7. He draws all men to Himself, John 6:44; 14:6 ... not me, nor any other writer. Let the word of the Lord Jesus Christ have free course and be glorified; and let many of the readers of this book be edified, comforted, and matured unto perfection in Him. D. For years this particular principle on the Doctrine Of Perfection has been feared, misunderstood, and frankly not taught correctly. In Hebrews 6:1, Paul clearly states "let us go on unto perfection." Perfection simply means "completion, going on to maturity." Therefore perfection is all about maturing in Christ Jesus as Paul said in Colossians 1:28, "that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus." Jesus said in Matthew 5:48, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Over and over again we are admonished in Scripture and exhorted to reach this place of perfection. Perfection is a sound Biblical principle. In I Peter 5:10, the Lord makes it very clear that "after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you." The Lord wants to make us perfect. David prayed, "The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me" (Psalms 138:8). So is perfection an attainable goal? Absolutely. The way to perfection is through the grace of God, the Spirit of God, through study and devotion to the Word of God, and through an ongoing intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus. Perfection is all about allowing God to finish in our lives what He began. Somebody somewhere is going to reach perfection. I do not know about you, but I want to obtain all that God has spoken for me to have. I want to be everything God wants me to be. Psalms 50:2 says, "Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined." Shining forth within a people is ultimately what God wants. He wants to inhabit a people so completely but in order to do that He has to perfect them. He has to fill every chamber with His goodness and glory and drive out the former occupants so we as His people can be true examples "changed into the same image from glory to glory," even as He is perfect. God bless you as you study and read this manual, the last in our doctrinal series. My heart's prayer is that it helps you and that you, as Philippians 3:14 exhorts, keep pressing "toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word he will never see death. Jesus the Christ Do you know what God desires of you to fulfill His purpose for your life? What does it mean to seek Gods spiritual perfection? When we see the word perfection, we see an unattainable ideal. How can we be perfect even spiritually perfect? The Bible explains that in the life of Jesus the Christ, The Child continued to grow and become strong, becoming full of wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him [Luke 2:40]. Jesus would later say, Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect [Matthew 5:48]. If you are eager to live life on your terms and worship your own way, then this book is not for you. Towards Spiritual Perfection examines the Bible from Gods perspectiveHis will for usand stresses that to be like His Son, we must deny our own wants and desires every day of our lives [Luke 9:23]. Are you ready to do Gods will, His way? If so, this book of practical principles is a must for you, as you mature in Christ.

Andrew Murray (9 May 1828 - 18 January 1917) was a South African writer, teacher and Christian pastor. Murray considered missions to be "the chief end of the church". Murray pastored churches in Bloemfontein, Worcester, Cape Town and Wellington, all in South Africa. He was a champion of the South African Revival of 1860. In 1889, he was one of the founders of the South African General Mission (SAGM), along with Martha Osborn and Spencer Walton. After Martha Osborn married George Howe, they formed the South East Africa General Mission (SEAGM) in 1891. SAGM and SEAGM merged in 1894. Because its ministry had spread into other African countries, the mission's name was changed to Africa Evangelical Fellowship (AEF) in 1965. AEF joined with Serving In Mission (SIM) in 1998 and continues to this day. Through his writings, Murray was also a key Higher Life or Keswick leader, and his theology of faith healing and belief in the continuation of the apostolic gifts made him a significant forerunner of the Pentecostal movement. The Apostle Paul realized that he was an infant in the faith after his encounter with the Lord Jesus on the road to Damascus. He experienced what was required to become a member of Christ's body and to walk as a mature Christian. Therefore, he wanted to share these truths with the Ephesians and with us. What does he do? First, he presents doctrine regarding the Holy Spirit, the Lord Jesus Christ, and God the Father. Then, he focuses on the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. Why? He knew we needed to acquire knowledge of God's Word and develop a personal relationship with the Triune God. He concludes this portion of Scripture with comforting words and stern warnings. The former assures us of attaining spiritual maturity, whereas the latter warns against the predators espousing false doctrine, trickery, cunning craftiness, and deceit, which are only overcome by an intimate knowledge of the Son of God.

GOD IS SUPREME, so far above us, that He must humble Himself to look upon the things that are in the earth, which may be understandable, however, He must also humble Himself before He can even behold the things that are in heaven! Our ultimate end goal is to be able to live in heaven for all of eternity, with the Father and with the Son! This hope of our desired eternal home is the place of our final rest in eternal comfort, joy and peace in His presence for our resurrected and glorified spiritual bodies! The God we worship is far greater than any of us can possibly even imagine! We sing the song “How great thou art,” however, the word “great,” or “awesome,” or any other word, is very much inadequate and far beneath our being able to describe the glory of God, because His glory is inconceivable to the human mind! God is above all, -- far above all! Before all,-- far before all! Encompassing all and possessing all, of everything! God is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, all encompassing, all knowing, all powerful and answers all our concerns! He is transcendent, in that He is un-created, has always existed, is eternal and is far above His creation, He is the epitome of all perfection, righteousness, purity, holiness, peace and joy! God is all in all! There is none other like Him, nor will there ever be! The love of God is simply God’s nature!! If we would desire to have fellowship with God, we must do so within the parameters of the nature of God, being “partakers of the Divine Nature,” which is the expression of God’s pure love, which relationship has been promised to us! Jesus Christ went through the exact same things we are going through, on this earth, yet He, through the power of the Holy Spirit, overcame the world and being made perfect, “as a man,” He was fully qualified to die for each one of us, taking our sins upon Himself, paying for those sins, with His blood, fulfilling the law that says “sin must die!” He endured the terrible suffering of the cruel physical pain of the cross and the horrible agony of one being temporarily, spiritually separated from God the Father, when He took our sins upon Himself, for God cannot look upon sin! Christ, unselfishly took all of that horrific terror and pain of our sin, upon Himself, all because of His deep love for each one of us! Christ, our High Priest, is the ultimate and supreme example for us to live our lives by! However, we, within the confines of our earthly minds, are not fully able to attain to His perfection! However, through the blood of Jesus Christ, “if” we have the “boldness” to enter in to the “Holiest,” we may then fully be able to be partakers of God’s Holy Spirit, which will and does lead us into our being able to be conformed to Christ’s image! This personal presence with God, can be attained by our being silent before God, waiting on Him, in humble prayer! Do you have the “faith” and the “boldness” to enter into God’s presence?
