My Hero, My Dad, The Nurse is a colorful children's book about a little boy who ponders different career choices, but decides that he wants to follow his dad's example, and become a nurse. In this book, adults as well as children are introduced to the idea that nursing is a rewarding career that is not gender specific. Nursing is a career choice full of opportunities for men and women. My Hero, My Dad The Nurse is based on the expertise and research of its author, Dr. Maggie Thurmond Dorsey, RN. The story journeys into the imagination of an African American little boy as he decides on a career day presentation for his class. The vivid illustrations in this book are provided by Mr. Lorenzo Williams, an accomplished artist and art teacher. The illustrations capture the range of the little boy's animations from his sadness as he deals with his classmates' jeering: "You can't be a nurse, you're a boy" to his enthusiasm and pride when he presents to his class, "My Hero, My Dad The Nurse."

Rose of a Different Mind is my journey through life, as I put pen to paper. It is a collection of poems, stories, and true-to-life experiences. Join me as I share childhood memories. Watch young love battle the odds, weather the storms, and enjoy the sweet sunshine. Witness the love of a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Enjoy nature, the gift only God creates. The cover and illustrations are a whimsical account of my written words. Because I’ve always felt I was different, thus the title. These writings are my deepest feelings. In a word, they are my heart, revealed. It is a testimony of God’s guidance, love, and protection on my earthly trek through this life. May God bless each one who reads this book. May it encourage, comfort, and enlighten all who share these precious memories. To God be the glory! —Rose

But through the Wisdom of Solomon, as given by The Almighty God of Creation, we are to learn that all mans efforts are futile and absolute worthlessness; if God has not been made the central part of your life.

Within the Trinity, only the second Person of the Trinity became man. But the second Person of the Trinity always acts in union with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus was an only child, but he lived in the unit of the Holy Family. On the Cross, Jesus' death alone redeemed mankind, but he was crucified with two others. So, while Jesus is the sole mediator between God and man, we might look for two co-redeemers. And they would be Mary, who stood at the foot of the Cross, offering Jesus and herself to the God, and Joseph, who had died in their company. The existence of co-redeemers has implications for Our Lady of America: this apparition was recently judged as being without error, but not supernatural because Joseph was referred to as a "co-redeemer." From the above, and from the fact that this title is used by some of the Church Fathers for St. Joseph, maybe the status of this apparition can be reassessed. If it is declared supernatural, Mary's statue can be processed to and installed in the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., as she requested. If that happens, Mary promised a spiritual renewal of our country.
