Please Take Me for a Walk is a celebration of dogs and kids and community. The book stars a very persuasive pup pleading with his best friend—the reader!—to take him for a walk. He recounts all the fun things they can see and do: chase squirrels in the yard, greet neighbors on their block, visit the shopkeepers downtown, swing by the schoolyard, and then run and play in the park. The dog run at the park is filled with all kinds of amazing purebreds and mutts, and our puppy wants them all to see "my best friend and me." Susan Gal uses this story of a dog's best walk ever to catalog all the favorite places in a child's world. She starts in the house and the yard, then widens her scope to the block, the neighborhood, downtown, and the park. And she captures the magical way the people of a community can be brought together through their pets. The dog's enthusiastic voice and eagerness to go out walking will resonate with any dog owner. And Susan Gal's artwork is so enticing and adorable it will have even confirmed cat lovers heading for the pound! Happy walking, everyone!

After relentless suffering, a woman decides to end her life—until a few real-life angels start showing up . . . A model-turned-wife-and-mother, Willow Adair lives with her husband and kids in Bexley, one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Columbus, Ohio. On the outside, she has everything. On the inside, she struggles with her self worth. Spurned by her neglectful husband and defied by her rebellious teen daughter, Willow never feels she’s good enough, and fears everyone she loves will leave. Piece by piece, the cornerstones of Willow’s life begin to crumble. A routine operation goes horribly wrong, requiring a long recovery. A yoga injury leads to pain, surgeries, and misdiagnoses, ending in a permanent loss of motion in her arm. Then, as if she hasn’t suffered enough, Willow is diagnosed with breast cancer. Convinced no one will stand by her for one more day of sickness and depression, she prepares to end her life. But Willow’s friends go with her to chemo. They sleep over at her house. They lift her spirits when she’s sad, and weep with her when she’s hurting. They walk beside her literally, on sidewalks from Cleveland to Miami. And they walk beside her spiritually and emotionally, soothing her heartache, healing her self-esteem, and reminding her that every single minute of her life is abundantly worth living. Walk Beside Me is a tale of sickness and triumph, of being comfortable in your own skin, of valuing the things that have true value, and of learning to fight for yourself and what you truly want. It’s the story of a woman who peels away the layers to find her inner warrior, a woman who faces insurmountable odds and—thanks to her earthly Angels—learns to treasure the gift of God’s infinite light and love.

In My Right Mind is a story of a woman's experience living with epilepsy in her childhood and young adult years. Amy had complex partial and grand mal seizures, those seizures that are difficult to control by medication. Amy went on to college to pursue a teaching degree, although she continued to have seizures on a regular basis. She faced physical, emotional, and spiritual trials while trying to keep up with the academic requirements of her degree program. Then in her junior year of college, God opened doors for her to put her epilepsy behind her and gain a better quality of life. Amy had the opportunity to find out if she was a candidate for brain surgery. After undergoing medical tests, she was informed that she had the most operable type of epilepsy. The decision to have brain surgery was up to her. Amy writes from her heart as she shares how God worked in her life and brought her to where she is today. Amy has three college degrees and is a special-education teacher. As you read her story, you will be inspired by her faith in God and determination to overcome her obstacles. She brings to light the truth of God's promise that He will never leave us or forsake us.

"For I know well the plans I have in mind for you ... plans for your welfare, not for woe! Plans to give you a future full of hope." Jeremiah 29:11 In her book Walk with me, Jesus, philosopher and writer Ronda Chervin, Ph.D. offers widows a practical spiritual path that can help them attain hope and faith in God's love and provision. Using the stories of women saints who suffered the loss of a husband, she encourages and affirms women in their new state in life while leading them on the journey to healing and interior joy. Drawing from the themes of the Stations of the Cross, Dr. Chervin ties the sufferings of widowhood with the Passion of the Savior in a way that is both beautiful and healing. Quotes from Scripture and the saints, and prayers to help you turn your heart toward the Lord and His Mother, offer consolation and hope.

After the Rain, is the sequel to Through the Storms and Through the Rain. It is a collection of poems that continues to describe how I felt when I was about 25 or 30 years old. I write about God in almost every poem because He has had such an impact on my life. He has become such an ever-present Friend until I have literally become consumed by His presence. Because I am so consumed by His presence I have come to have a great love and respect for Him. Almost every poem in some way describes how I learn to trust him and how I am continuously learning to trust and depend upon Him. It was not an easy process for me to trust and depend upon God. I constantly expressed how I felt and the struggles I encountered as I learned to love God, trust God and depend upon His Word. In my first book, Through the Storms and Through the Rain, I describe many of my pent up feelings. I express a lot of self-doubt, pain, and disappointment. It was not easy having to deal with each difficulty that came into my life. I felt that if God was who He said He was then my life would not have to be so full of pain and heartache. When it seemed that He would not take the difficulties away I would become angry and accuse Him of all my pain. My philosophy was that if He were God then He was able to fix any problem and that included taking pain and disappointment out of my life. And when He didnt I became even more angry. I often wondered how a loving God could allow so much pain and so much heart-ache in peoples lives. He reminded me that we live in a fallen world where there is much sin, anguish, and pain. Each of us will be affected by it whether we desire it or not. But it is our attitude toward the heartache and pain that determines our outcome. So God taught me that pain, heartache, and sorrow will come because I am not in Heaven. But He has already overcome this world. I have to focus my heart and soul upon Him. The prophet Isaiah reminds me that God will keep me in perfect peace if I keep my mind stayed on Him. (Isaiah 26:3)
