Many are just whimsical subjects that would pop into my mind as I was trying to go to sleep. Rather than counting sheep, I would compose a poem and hope that I would remember it in the morning so I could put the words on paper in poetic form. There is one epic poem on the Battle of Chancellorsville and one on Stonewall Jackson’s death and several Irish poems. As I said earlier, this is an eclectic collection. I have enjoyed writing them, and I hope you enjoy reading them.
