In the beginning, God gave us the breath of life. Now we, with every breath, need to praise God and all His creation. His breath, we breathe, should be a reminder of His love and mercy that He pours out on all mankind. How blessed we are to be sharing the breath of our Holy, perfect GOD. Because these poems envelop many situations, they all can be applied in our everyday life and give us solutions to our problems with answers found in the Bible. God is here to give you, not only His breath, but Salvation through His Son, JESUS CHRIST. Please join me in praising our Lord for His free, grace-filled, breath of life. With each breath we take, PRAISE YE the LORD!

Harps Unhung is the poetry project of Eileen Anderson, whose vision was to re-write all one hundred and fifty biblical Psalms, using one hundred and fifty unique poetry formats. Sadly, Eileen had completed only seventy-five of the Psalm poems before succumbing to ovarian cancer in March of 2013. Taking the mantle up after her death, her daughter Vicki completed the remaining seventy-five poems, completing the collection. Harps Unhung is a call for suffering, sick, and weary Christians to praise the Lord in the midst of captivityknowing, as David did, that God is mighty. Even when life seems the most bleak and hopeless, God is near to the crushed in spirit and deliverance is on its way.

It was 1982, I had just discovered Reggae music (after Bob Marley’s passing), and I heard a song that changed my life for the better. The song was “Chant a Psalm a Day” by a Reggae band , Steel Pulse. Listening carefully to the lyrics of that song revived my love for writing poetry, which I had all but abandoned since 9th grade English class. So the poem “100 Poems Is Not Enough” was written and I decided this should be the title of this book of poems because this speaks so much to how I feel. Hopefully this collection of mostly short, direct to the point, plain and simple Praise Poems will comfort you and inspire you to Praise God with any and all the talents that God has given you.

Most people would define poetry as the rhythm of words or the rambling of one's thoughts. To me, it is not just making words rhyme or the ramblings of thoughts, but rather, putting into words and expressing the deepest feelings of a person's heart. To be enjoyed, poems do not have to contain any type of rhythmic beat, but rather, an arrangement of verses to convey to us beauty and eloquence. For example, Hebrew poetry in the Old Testament, from the book of Job through Song of Solomon, was written to show us the love, wisdom and the awesome power of the almighty God. The poems which I have written were inspired from verses recorded in the Bible. It is my hope that this book will encourage the Christian believer to develop and exercise a spiritual discipline in their every day walk with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

When troubles arise the first thing we do is pray. We ask the Lord to quickly relieve the pain and suffering of the situation. But how often do we send up prayers of praise and thanksgiving? Let Amy Santi Bulls forty-five poems in this collection lead you on the path to showing the Lord how grateful you are for all He has done in your life. As in her other books, Believe and My Inner Strength, each poem in A Joyful Noise has five Bible verses that coincide with the meaning of the poem. These verses are listed in the Reference section following the poetry and show that praise and thanksgiving were offered to the Lord throughout time. So now, do you have a reason to be thankful? Do you have answered prayers? Then give the Lord the praises He deserves and let Amys poetry guide you along the way.

He opens his heart and mind to tackle questions and ideas that came up during the course of 10 years when he was moving from country to country and job to job. He started writing his thoughts as poems beginning in 2008. Before long, he had enough poems to complete a book.
