Where there is a mate puzzle, only one move by White or Black will result in a forced mate in that speci?c number of moves. Solutions are found at the end of the book along with illustrative variations in italics. All variations have been checked for accuracy and uniqueness by Houdini6, a grandmaster-rated chess engine. Each variation ends with '1-0' (White wins/Black resigns) or '0-1' (Black wins/White resigns).
