For me, growing up, puberty, sex education, or hormones were topics that were rarely, if ever, spoken about in my home. I had to learn about being a girl and all that that entails mostly on my own. If that wasn't enough, how about throwing in some strict Christian values into the mix while your hormones are going crazy, all while trying to navigate sixth grade...not fun! That is what compelled me to write this book. I wanted to talk about the tough topics and the real issues that our Christian girls are dealing with today like drugs, alcohol, bullying, peer pressure, etc. Raising Christian Girls 101 was written in part as a guidebook that speaks from your young adolescent's all the way to your young adult's point of view so that you, the parent or guardian, will have a fuller understanding of what she is going through. You will be guided with one foot in your shoe, while the other is in hers. Your daughter is changing; let this precious time be an excellent opportunity to grow a bond that the world cannot break. It is my prayer that this book be referenced for years and passed down for generations.

"I can't imagine a college student—skeptic, doubter, Christian, struggler—who wouldn't benefit from this book." —Kevin DeYoung For many young adults, the college years are an exciting period of selfdiscovery full of new relationships, new independence, and new experiences. Yet college can also be a time of personal testing and intense questioning— especially for Christian students confronted with various challenges to Christianity and the Bible for the first time. Drawing on years of experience as a biblical scholar, Michael Kruger addresses common objections to the Christian faith—the exclusivity of Christianity, Christian intolerance, homosexuality, hell, the problem of evil, science, miracles, and the reliability of the Bible. If you're a student dealing with doubt or wrestling with objections to Christianity from fellow students and professors alike, this book will equip you to engage secular challenges with intellectual honesty, compassion, and confidence—and ultimately graduate college with your faith intact.

Emulating the format of Raising a Modern-Day Princess, authors Doreen Hanna and Karen Whiting seek to help parents and grandparents cultivate strong relationships and encourage the spiritual formation in their daughters using examples, Bible teaching on the fruit of the Spirit, and a variety of creative activities that are based on Galatians 5:22-23, the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control). By implementing the ideas in this book, mothers (as well as fathers) will be equipped to understand and guide their daughters through each step of becoming His "princess." This will include perceiving a daughter's unique personality and gifts, refining her character through training and discipline, and modeling the attributes of a daughter of the King. This book is a follow-up to both Raising a Modern-Day Knight (by Robert Lewis) and Raising a Modern-Day Princess by Pam Farrel and Doreen Hanna. While the latter book is aimed at parents of girls ages 12 and up, this book focuses on building the Christian character of younger girls.

Is your tween prepared for what’s ahead? It used to be that middle school was the time to talk to kids about topics like modesty and body image. Unfortunately, the at-risk demographic for distorted views on the body is now girls ages 8–10. Fortunately, Dannah Gresh has provided a resource for this need. True Girl is geared to helping tween girls understand their dignity in Christ. It features a creative self-help text format that includes sidebars, quizzes, games, exploded quotes, and graphics to help them absorb the message. Here’s what author Dannah Gresh has to say about the motivation behind the book: “My past fifteen years of studying at-risk teen and tween behavior has over and over again led me to good news: girls who are exposed to an age-appropriate, Bible-based understanding of beauty and fashion between the ages of 8-12 tend to be less likely to engage in early sexual activity or have body image issues. They are also more likely to have healthy friendships, excel academically, and become positive social contributors in their communities, all while expressing their beauty and value appropriately. "It’s not rocket science. It is social science paired with a whole lot of prayer and Bible study. We can change what tween girls see when they look in the mirror by changing what's inside their hearts.” This is the heart behind True Girl:a desire to teach tween girls how valuable they are and how to honor their God-given dignity. Ultimately, it’s about grounding girls in their identity in Christ so the tumultuous teen years don’t uproot them. This book pairs with True Girl Mom-Daughter Devos, allowing moms a helpful resource for walking through this formative time with their tween girl.

Raising God's girl in His way, with His power, for His purposes. Scripture teaches us that our daughters are gifts from God. Is this really true? In all seasons of life? The answer is yes. But sometimes we can miss this truth in the whirlwind of emotions, activities, peer pressure, and media influence. How can we raise strong girls when we feel so weak? The key is knowing this: as we are raising our daughters, our heavenly Father is raising us. He is using the challenges and joys of parenting to teach us about our own relationship with Him - to help us understand and receive His amazing love so that we can then lavish it on our daughters. So join us as we examine our lives, renew our minds, and embrace the responsibility and honor of parenting. Discover how to become strong and courageous parents being used by God to build strong and courageous daughters.
