In less than 300 words the Lord revealed to the Apostle Paul the mystery (Eph. 1:3-14), which for ages past had been a secret. The unfolding of this secret identifies a humanity destined for heaven, related by nature to the God of heaven, and taking its place next to Christ on the throne of heaven in the fellowship of the mystery (Eph. 3:9). This book is biblically analyzed, homiletically designed, and alliteratively outlined.

The Mystery Revealed: A Study of Ephesians is a six week study intended for small groups or individual study. The primary purpose of Paul's letter was to encourage the "faithful followers of Christ Jesus" in Ephesus to live together as one Body. Both Jew and Gentile believers were to unite in Christ's Church. This study covers one chapter each week and contains five lessons for each week with questions and commentary. Study chapter topics are Salvation, Grace, Confidence, Unity, Life, and Strength. There is also an optional introductory session. The study will emphasize four of Paul's themes that are woven throughout the letter. (1) The Mystery Revealed. God's mysterious plan was kept hidden until God revealed it to the apostles at His chosen time. (2) Grace. One of the most well-known teachings on grace in the Bible is found in Ephesians. "For it is by grace you have been saved," (2:8). (3) In Christ. This phrase appears 13 times in Ephesians (NASB). (4) Heavenly Places. The exact phrase, 'heavenly places, ' appears five times in Ephesians and nowhere else in the Bible.

The Apostle Paul's letter to the Ephesians is one of the most dynamic portions of all of Scripture. A book which one commentator called "the crown and climax of Pauline theology," Ephesians issues a clarion call to all who follow Jesus. In this newly updated volume, author and pastor Kent Hughes leads readers through the book's major themes, helpfully pairing skilled, exegetical insights with wise, practical guidance. From celebrating salvation by grace through faith to exploring the mystery of the new humanity God has created through Jesus, Ephesians' dual focus on Christ and the church points the way to victorious Christian living in this sin-embattled world. Part of the Preaching the Word series.

In this compelling book about diversity and community, McKnight shares his personal experiences and his study of the Apostle Paul to answer this significant question: What is the church supposed to be? Local churches matter far more than we often know because they determine what Christian life looks like for you. The church McKnight grew up in was a fellowship of sames and likes. Mostly white, same beliefs about everything, same tastes in music and worship and sermons and lifestyle. But the church God designed, says McKnight, is meant to be a fellowship of difference and differents. A mixture of people from all across the map and spectrum: men and women, rich and poor, black and white, and everything in between. A Fellowship of Differents explores the church as God’s world-changing social experiment of bringing unlikes and differents to the table to share life with one another as a new kind of family, showing the world what love, justice, peace, reconciliation, and life together is designed by God to be.
