The translations of the Egyptian hymns and religious texts printed in this and the two following volumes form a representative collection of the various compositions which the Egyptian inscribed upon the walls of tombs and sarcophagi, coffins and funeral stelae, papyri and amulets, etc., in order to ensure the well-being of their dead in the world beyond the grave. These translations first appeared in the third volume of my work on The Book of The Dead, which was published under the title "The Chapters of Coming Forth by Day" at the end of the year 1897, where they seemed to be a necessary accompaniment to the edition of the hieroglyphic texts of Theban Recension and the hieroglyphic vocabulary thereto. The demand for that bulky and comparatively expensive work proved that it filled a want, but soon after its appearance frequent requests were made that the English translation might be issued in a smaller and handier form.

The word Atumism derives from ‘Atum,’ the manifestation of the All-Lord in creating the sphere of earth and the creature Adam. The words ‘Atumian’ and ‘Atumianity,’ addressed here by the meaning of ‘Human’ and ‘Humanity,’ are derived from ‘Atum’ who is ‘Adam.’ In the Egyptian literature, there is a thin line that differentiates ‘Atum’ and ‘Atum.’ Why denominate the Egyptian Religion by the term “Atumism”? The answer is found in multitude of diverse notions embedded in the Egyptian speech and makes the term in its profoundness the most right for a religion that has been of divine revelation millennia ahead of A. D. This book is a fusion of the earlier research titled “Ancient Egypt: The Primal Age of Divine Revelation, Volume I and II.

Hundreds of people were converted, leading to significant church growth, in an 1857 revival led by Phoebe Palmer in the city of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada that contributed to the beginning of the Second Great Awakening. This book explores the 1857 setting in the world and in Hamilton, including the key churches and people involved in the revival. What happened was not typical for revival meetings led by the Palmers, as this account shows. The book continues with a summary of the impact of the Hamilton revival around the globe, linking it to other revivals and the Second Great Awakening as a whole. The account ends with what subsequently unfolded in the Hamilton area and the churches involved. Many of the primary sources are in the Appendix, and the book includes numerous pictures and maps. Scholars, ministers, and lay people alike will appreciate this exploration of a chapter in Canada's spiritual history.
