The report deals with all materials within the area that could be used for road-mak'ing - bedrock. Glacial boulders or field stone, and gravel. The amount of material examined and the extent of territory covered are far in excess of what would have been_necessary for the needs of the trunk highway albne, but this was so planned to obtain a more thorough knowledge of the various kinds of road material in the district, and to be of as much assistance as possible to road oflicials in the townships traversed.
