You might be wondering why write a book about sexual intimacy in marriage and share illustrations for husbands and wives to enjoy. It is a question that I would like to answer up front. God gave the gift of sex for spouses to enjoy for a lifetime. The honeymoon was not meant to be a climax in the experience, but the beginning of an adventure then on to share full of passion, excitement, and joy. Sex is like a roller coaster as it will have ups and downs as the days, years, and decades pass. It is my belief that the passion that started the relationship should be the one that carries it through all the way to the end instead of the marriage bed becoming stale or joyless. This book was written to give a resource for Christians that would spare them the need to go to the world for ideas and possibly be exposed to pornography. This book includes a Bible Study to draw closer to each other and look at intimacy in the pages of Scripture. It may answer questions you have about sex! There are 55 clean illustrations for you to try with your spouse. This book was previously published as Becoming One Flesh Volume 2, but has been published under a new title to make it cheaper in black and white inside.

I am not sure about you, but I am sure that the gift of sexuality given to a husband and wife by God is not meant to become stale or settle into a rut. It is too profound of a blessing to be left unattended or to be discarded as if it does not matter. The honeymoon is not meant to be an end of passion, but a springboard of romance for the lifetime of a marriage. I decided to write this challenging book to encourage Christians to honor the marriage bed and also to provide a nudity free resource to further the intimacy of husbands and wives in search of different sexual positions to try without having to expose themselves to the nudity of secular resources. This is not a man's book and it is not a woman's book. It takes two to tango and a husband and wife will have to come to agreement to benefit from this book. Creativity must be embraced, submission to each other, and love must be kindled once again. The book begins with devotionals on love from a Biblical perspective that can help a couple be closer to God and also to one another. The type of love discussed with questions after each day sets the mood for intimacy that will last. This is the same book as Becoming One Flesh Volume 1 by the same author as he desired to make a black and white version that was cheaper.

Growing up the son of agnostics, John Koessler saw a Catholic church on one end of the street and a Baptist on the other. In the no-man’s land between the two, this curious outside wondered about the God they worshipped—and began a lifelong search to comprehend the grace and mystery of God. A Stranger in the House of God addresses fundamental questions and struggles faced by spiritual seekers and mature believers. Like a contemporary Pilgrim’s Progress, it traces the author’s journey and explores his experiences with both charismatic and evangelical Christianity. It also describes his transformation from religious outsider to ordained pastor. John Koessler provides a poignant and often humorous window into the interior of the soul as he describes his journey from doubt and struggle with the church to personal faith

A compassionate, shame-free guide for your darkest days “A one-of-a-kind book . . . to read for yourself or give to a struggling friend or loved one without the fear that depression and suicidal thoughts will be minimized, medicalized or over-spiritualized.”—Kay Warren, cofounder of Saddleback Church What happens when loving Jesus doesn’t cure you of depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts? You might be crushed by shame over your mental illness, only to be told by well-meaning Christians to “choose joy” and “pray more.” So you beg God to take away the pain, but nothing eases the ache inside. As darkness lingers and color drains from your world, you’re left wondering if God has abandoned you. You just want a way out. But there’s hope. In I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die, Sarah J. Robinson offers a healthy, practical, and shame-free guide for Christians struggling with mental illness. With unflinching honesty, Sarah shares her story of battling depression and fighting to stay alive despite toxic theology that made her afraid to seek help outside the church. Pairing her own story with scriptural insights, mental health research, and simple practices, Sarah helps you reconnect with the God who is present in our deepest anguish and discover that you are worth everything it takes to get better. Beautifully written and full of hard-won wisdom, I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die offers a path toward a rich, hope-filled life in Christ, even when healing doesn’t look like what you expect.

Jesus Christ is arguably the most famous man who ever lived. His image adorns countless churches, icons, and paintings. He is the subject of millions of statues, sculptures, devotional objects and works of art. Everyone can conjure an image of Jesus: usually as a handsome, white man with flowing locks and pristine linen robes. But what did Jesus really look like? Is our popular image of Jesus overly westernized and untrue to historical reality? This question continues to fascinate. Leading Christian Origins scholar Joan E. Taylor surveys the historical evidence, and the prevalent image of Jesus in art and culture, to suggest an entirely different vision of this most famous of men. He may even have had short hair.

The Bible has a way of shocking us. If Americans could still blush, we might blush at the words, "Rejoice in the wife of your youth, a lovely deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts fill you at all times with delight; be intoxicated always in her love" (Proverbs 5:18-19). But, of course, sin always tries to trash God's gifts. So we can't just celebrate sex for what God made it to be; we have to fight what sin turned it into. The contributors to this unique volume encourage you to do both: celebrate and struggle. This book has something for all-men and women, married and single-from contributors like John Piper, C. J. and Carolyn Mahaney, Mark Dever, Al Mohler, Carolyn McCulley, and others.
