Sico is a callous man; no feelings, and no love for himself nor for others. That is until a certain woman spikes a surge of possessiveness inside him. Enough to claim her as his ol’lady on the spot without knowing her background. Realizing she’s not whom she appears to be, he finds himself feeling unworthy and works hard to become the very man she deserves. Simi lives behind a mask. Events from her past have pressured her into labeling herself to prevent more damage in the future. For her it is easier to hide behind a lie; because people, no matter if they are close or not, will always judge. When a club enemy strikes, retaliation draws blood and fighting is no longer an option but a necessity. The choice to do what’s right may lead to clearing a path for the future or create one where the fire of hell will take away everything that’s innocent and pure. Lives are lost, hearts will merge, but will there be a future left or will the need for blood and revenge drown everyone in its path? Sico can be read as a standalone. For a greater reading experience, recommended reading order: "Zack" Areion Fury MC book one "Deeds" Broken Deeds MC book one "Dams" Areion Fury MC book two "Tyler" Areion Fury MC book three "Pokey" Areion Fury MC book four "Sico" Areion Fury MC book five "Calix" Areion Fury MC book six

Is clutch performance innate-or can it be learned? Sooner or later everyone encounters a situation in which the stakes are high and the outcome is crucial. And even top performers can crumble when faced with such extreme pressure. Consider the CEO who panics in a desperate attempt to shore up his company's earnings, the veteran politician who grows overconfident and loses to the upstart candidate, the quarterback who carries his team to the Super Bowl but falls apart in the final quarter. All of them choked. But then there are the performers who thrive under such conditions: the ER doctor racing the clock to save someone's life, the lieutenant who leads his platoon to victory after an ambush, the young attorney who refuses to be intimidated in court and wins the crucial case. These people are clutch, and their ability to overcome extreme pressure consistently and beat the toughest odds fascinates us. How do they do it? According to Paul Sullivan, clutch performance does not stem from an innate ability. It's a learned skill: the art of operating in high-stress situations as if they were everyday conditions. Even some of the most experienced and talented performers lack this skill-but Sullivan shows that anyone can develop it. Drawing on new research and interviews with stars across a range of fields, Sullivan uncovers the shared traits that define clutch performers and explains how anyone can apply their strategies. He builds his case through many inspiring true stories, including those of * a skinny sergeant who saved his battalion in Iraq; * a rookie baseball player who pitched his team into its first World Series; * an eccentric psychiatrist who trained a group of financial traders to become the best in the world; * a lawyer who struggled in school but became one of the top litigators in America. Full of powerful advice and real-world examples, Clutch will show you how to overcome extreme pressure to achieve greatness.

A unique account of AIG by one of the iconic business leaders of the twentieth century who developed close relationships with many of the most important world leaders of the period and helped to open markets everywhere Offers new critical perspective on battles with N. Y. Attorney General Eliot Spitzer and the 2008 U.S. government seizure of AIG amid the financial crisis Shares considerable information not previously made public The AIG Story captures an impressive saga in business history--one of innovation, vision and leadership at a company that was nearly--destroyed with a few strokes of governmental pens. The AIG Story carries important lessons and implications for the U.S., especially its role in international affairs, its approach to business, its legal system and its handling of financial crises.

Drawing on extensive ethnographic fieldwork, this study explores the ideas of belonging and citizenship among former pro-autonomy East Timorese who have elected to settle indefinitely in West Timor. The study follows different East Timorese groups and examines various ways they construct and negotiate their socio-political identities following the violent and destructive separation from their homeland. The East Timorese might have had Indonesia as their destination when they left the eastern half of the island in the aftermath of the referendum, but they have not relinquished their cultural identities as East Timorese. The study highlights the significance of the notions of origin, ancestry and alliance in our understanding of East Timorese place-making and belonging to a particular locality. Another feature of belonging that informs East Timorese identity is their narrative of sacrifice to maintain connections with their homeland and move on with their lives in Indonesia. These sacrificial narratives elaborate an East Timorese spirit of struggle and resilience, a feature further exemplified in the transformation of their political activities within the Indonesian political system.

Damn, its been a long time coming. But its finally here, Pokey said to no one in particular, as the day arrived for him to be released from the prison that held him hostage against his own will for the last eighteen months, day by day, as he walked out the open gates. He was blinded by the bright sun. Reaching up to cover his eyes, he heard a horn blowing. Looking around for the sound of the horn, he spotted his mothers beat-up Honda. As he watched his mother get out of the car and slowly walk toward him, Pokey had one thing in mind. Man, I gotta make sum Major Doe, he was thinking, as his mother reached out and gave him a hug. Thanks, Mom. Glad I didnt have to ride that stank-ass bus all the way home, he told his mother, who just smiled as she turned around and made her way back to the car, with Pokey on her heels. I dont know what you coming on this side for, his mother said, pushing him over to the drivers side. You driving, she said. I gotta get some beauty sleep, she said, sliding in the car. On the ride home, it was quiet, with Pokey in his own thoughts. As he was listening to his mother snore lightly, he promised, Momma, Imma make shit happen. Being in prison, Pokey learned a lot, but he also learned that if you want something bad enough, you gotta go get it. With that in mind and the words Old School used to tell him all the time. Young blood, you gotta be ruthless in the game of life. Sometimes you will be forced to bite the hands that feed you, so always keep in mind game aint based on sympathy. If a motherfucker wanna get in your way, dont hesitate to roll over them, and leave them where they lay. As he was in deep thought, his mother brought him back to the here and now. So, boy, now that you free, what you gonna do to stay free? his mother asked, turning in her seat to face him. Whatever I gotta do, Pokey said, keeping it real. So you gonna get a job? his mother asked. Never, Mom. You know me. I aint working no nine-to-five for no minimum wage so that working shit is dead, he said. While driving, as he looked out the corner of his eye, he saw his mother shake her head, as she closed her eyes and stopped talking. But he went back to thinking. Damn shit crazy, when ya own momma trying to keep you down, she on some get a job shit, but Imma live and die in the streets. As he pulled up in the projects, where they stayed, he noticed nothing has changed, but changes were about to take place, if he had something to do with it. My thing is, to be paid and get my game sharper than a motherfucking razor blade. As he pulled up and parked, he said, Ma, we here. Waking up, all his mother did was look at him, then exit the car. As Pokey watched his mother enter the house, he said, This the shit Im talking about, a nigga been gone eighteen months, leave with nothing and come home with nothing, so its time I make something. Looking around, shaking his head at all the dirty buildings that held this project together, his last thought was, Now I gotta get some soldiers on my team and make this picture come to life, as he looked around one more time before walking into the house. He mumbled, GABOS, this time around, thats how its gonna be. Niggaz showed no love, they receive none. With that being said, he walked into the house ready to take a nice long shower before he could formulate his next move, not forgetting his next move better be his best move cause GABOS.
