A light-hearted, fun, fantasy adventure. Perfect for young adults or those young at heart! An epic fantasy series with a slight sci-fi twist. Reads like a combination between Avatar: The Last Air Bender and Lord of the Rings. If you love journeys filled with magic, danger, and intergalactic travels, you’ll be enchanted with Spirit’s Entwined! It’ll take you on the adventure of a lifetime with young friends Kylie and Mory as they discover an astonishing secret about Kylie’s past, which catapults them into a thrilling future. Growing up in a world where magic is weakened, Kylie never thought there was anything special about her, until her home is attacked by forces beyond reckoning. Now, she has a long road ahead to understand who and what she is. Let’s go with her and keep her safe, because the fate of the entire universe hangs in the balance. With the twists of fate unknown to even the greatest of seers, the Spirit Master and comrades will not only have to battle creatures, dangers, and trials beyond their wildest dreams, but their own inner demons as well. Adventuring in an unknown and beautiful land filled with various sources of magic, they will take their first steps towards saving not only the worlds they know but worlds they have only just discovered, all the while finding love and forging the deepest of friendships. The stories and books they have read and dreamed about while staring into the stars cannot come close to their actual experience once they’ve begun their journey. Time will halt, as it does when its passing no longer has meaning, and strengths far beyond those of the physical sense will manifest in all who undertake this prophetic quest.

Singularizing progressive time binds pasts, presents, and futures to cause-effect chains overdetermining existence in education and social life more broadly. Indigenous Futures and Learnings Taking Place disrupts the common sense of "futures" in education or "knowledge for the future" by examining the multiplicity of possible destinies in coexistent experiences of living and learning. Taking place is the intention this book has to embody and world multiplicity across the landscapes that sustain life. The book contends that Indigenous perspectives open spaces for new forms of sociality and relationships with knowledge, time, and landscapes. Through Goanna walking and caring for Country; conjuring encounters between forests, humans, and the more-than-human; dreams, dream literacies, and planes of existence; the spirit realm taking place; ancestral luchas; Musquem hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ Land pedagogies; and resoluteness and gratitude for atunhetsla/the spirit within, the chapters in the collection become politicocultural and (hi)storical statements challenging the singular order of the future towards multiple encounters of all that is to come. In doing so, Indigenous Futures and Learnings Taking Place offers various points of departure to (hi)story educational futures more responsive to the multiplicities of lives in what has not yet become. The contributors in this volume are Indigenous women, women of Indigenous backgrounds, Black, Red, and Brown women, and women whose scholarship is committed to Indigenous matters across spaces and times. Their work in the chapters often defies prescriptions of academic conventions, and at times occupies them to enunciate ontologies of the not yet. As people historically fabricated "women," their scholarly production critically intervenes on time to break teleological education that births patriarchal-ized and master-ized forms of living. What emerges are presences that undiscipline education and educationalized social life breaking futures out of time. This book will be of great interest to students and scholars of Indigenous studies, future studies, post-colonial studies in education, settler colonialism and coloniality, diversity and multiculturalism in education, and international comparative education.

What does it mean to lead a life of hope, faith, and virtue? When faced with a world with less and less of a shared concept of truth, where do we turn? And when life gives us lemons, what can we do? Through this collection of stylistically diverse poems, author David A. McAdam suggests we can make lemonade out of even the barest of circumstances, and welcome others to engage in rich conversation over a cool, refreshing drink. Broken into eight thematically organized sections, these poems move us through the steps it takes to “do lemonade”—from inviting to savouring to refilling—reminding us of the universal values we can all lean on, whether we are facing highs or lows. Through these varied poems, readers are invited to reflect on changes in themselves and their relationships, to honour and give thanks for what they have, and to face challenges with grace and humility. Drawing on his Christian and Caribbean roots, his poems ultimately serve to affirm the value of faith, lighting a candle against the darkness of the post-truth world.

Sometimes love gets a bit twisted. Avery Montgomery doesn’t even know if she wants a soul mate. As a member of the Hellenicus—a race founded in antiquity and descended directly from the Greek gods—Avery’s attending her first Gathering where she’ll gain the ability to entwine her thoughts with her destined soul mate and be tied to them forever. But all is not as it seems at the Royal Court. There are severe and strange looks from the elders, whisperings from the ancient Dodona tree, and encounters with spirits who seem to know Avery better than she knows herself. Throughout these whirlwind events at Court, Avery finds herself torn between her feelings for the wise and protective Vladimir and the passionate, fun-loving Adrian. Unwilling to surrender her independence or to betray her heart, Avery must decide once and for all if she’ll give in to her desires and risk the wrath of the Gods. Because who are you if your destiny lies with another person?

Thank God for Jesus I am in His glorious light, I now know, no matter what he will not leave nor forsake me. This book chosen by my father in heaven for me to write before I was born has shown me that God knows what I would go through and what we would go through as a family. Because of His mercy and love he never let me know or we could not bear it. God started this work in our family, I do believe he will finish it. Even though it may not seem like it right now the battle is already won, when we go through the test, the testimony is for the glory of God. I write what I live and live what I write. I am astonished by Gods power, as God strengthen me I am humbled by His grace and mercy. Amen. I was born in Jamaica and have Scottish and English heritage which I embrace. I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I have lived in England for most of my life. In my youth, I wondered what was the true purpose for my life? I had repeated dreams and visions that were so profound, about my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, running with a host of people to meet him on the mountainside. I have lived a Christian life believing there is a God for many years. I have been born again about 20 years the greatest thing that ever happened in my life. I believe God has blessed me in so many different ways, I thank God for my husband and family. I thank God for wisdom, I believe he has given me, understanding and discernment. I await the final chapter the Lord said it will be a good one.
