In the infinite tapestry of the cosmos, where stars are born and die in ceaseless cycles, lies a whisper of an untold tale—a legend of the A'siri, a civilization so advanced that their very essence is woven into the fabric of the universe. Long before humanity reached for the stars, the A'siri mastered the cosmos, leaving behind powerful artifacts for the worthy to discover. One such relic, a Keystone, draws together three souls on a remote planet, setting the stage for an odyssey of epic proportions. Starship Jumpers follows the adventures of Jaxon "Jax" Rael, Mila Tekin, and Leo Sarn, three friends and intrepid explorers who traverse the universe in their starship, Evalion 1. United by their passion for space mining and exploration, they seek out rare minerals and uncover the mysteries of ancient civilizations. The story begins with a successful mineral hunt in a dense asteroid field, showcasing their skills and the close bond they share. After their mission, they dock at a bustling spaceport near Zellius to enjoy a brief respite. Amid the vibrant bazaars and diverse cultures, they strengthen their camaraderie. During their downtime, they are approached by a mysterious figure who offers them a high-stakes job: recover an ancient A'siri artifact. The job promises immense rewards but comes with significant risks. Debating the potential dangers and benefits, the trio decides to take on the mission. They set off towards a mysterious planet, navigating treacherous terrain and environmental hazards to locate the artifact. Along the way, tensions rise as they grapple with the artifact's immense power, leading to a dramatic confrontation that tests their friendship. Upon finding the artifact, it activates unexpectedly, scattering Jax, Mila, and Leo across different sectors of the universe. Each must navigate their unique challenges and gather specific items to find their way back. Guided by sentient AI-etheric devices, they grow individually and uncover vital clues. The trio eventually reunites on a mysterious planet within an alien industrial complex. Having grown from their solo adventures, they share their experiences and prepare for future journeys. Their bond, now stronger than ever, hints at the epic adventures yet to come. Starship Jumpers is a thrilling exploration of friendship, legacy, and the relentless pursuit of knowledge. Jerry Thigpen's study on the history of the Combat Talon is the first effort to tell the story of this wonderfully capable machine. This weapons system has performed virtually every imaginable tactical event in the spectrum of conflict and by any measure is the most versatile C-130 derivative ever produced. First modified and sent to Southeast Asia (SEA) in 1966 to replace theater unconventional warfare (UW) assets that were limited in both lift capability and speed the Talon I quickly adapted to theater UW tasking including infiltration and resupply and psychological warfare operations into North Vietnam. After spending four years in SEA and maturing into a highly respected UW weapons system the Joint Chief of Staff (JCS) chose the Combat Talon to lead the night low-level raid on the North Vietnamese prison camp at Son Tay. Despite the outcome of the operation the Talon I cemented its reputation as the weapons system of choice for long-range clandestine operations. In the period following the Vietnam War United States Air Force (USAF) special operations gradually lost its political and financial support which was graphically demonstrated in the failed Desert One mission into Iran. Thanks to congressional supporters like Earl Hutto of Florida and Dan Daniel of Virginia funds for aircraft upgrades and military construction projects materialized to meet the ever-increasing threat to our nation. Under the leadership of such committed hard-driven officers as Brenci Uttaro Ferkes Meller and Thigpen the crew force became the most disciplined in our Air Force. It was capable of penetrating hostile airspace at night in a low-level mountainous environment covertly to execute any number of unconventional warfare missions.

In the final novel of the award-winning sci-fi saga, both humans and aliens face destruction as a new time-portal opens a path back to the twenty-second century. Human time-travelers from the sophisticated Galactic Milieu of the twenty-second century came to the Pliocene Epoch seeking a Garden of Eden. What they found was slavery under the knightly Tanu race, who had been exiled to Earth from a far galaxy. Freed by the usurper Aiken Drum, the humans enjoy a brief period of dominance. But now King Aiken's rule is threatened by the dwarfish Firvulag, who scheme to destroy both humans and Tanu in an ultimate Gotterdammerung. This menace becomes almost incidental when Aiken discovers that his realm is about to be invaded by another human who possesses psychic powers even greater than his own. Marc Remillard, the instigator of the Metapsychic Rebellion, nearly conquered the Galactic Milieu before escaping through the time-portal after his defeat. Marc and his followers are out to overthrow Aiken just as a new time-gate is about to be built—one that will provide a two-way portal between the Many-Colored Land and the future world of the Milieu. The Adversary brings Julian May’s Locus Award-winning series—which also includes The Many-Colored Land, The Golden Tore, and The Nonborn King—to a rousing climax.
