A final pulse of clastic sedimentation on the Borden Delta is represented by the Wildie Member of the Borden Formation (Mississippian) in southeast-central Kentucky. The Wildie is a thin, locally restricted unit that is bounded by glauconite beds which define the final extent and geometry of the Borden Delta. The Wildie consists of resistant coarse siltstone beds alternating with beds of bioturbated mudstone. Bedding structures within the Wildie include planar stratification, ripple cross-laminae, and hummocky cross-stratification. Trace fossils of the Cruziana ichnofacies, including Planolites, Paleophycus, Chondrites, Monocraterion and Cylindrichnus, are exhibited in the Wildie siltstone and mudstone beds.
