As I have grown in the Lord, I have discovered that there are many prophets. Some anointed and well-trained, some... not so much. Some with integrity and Godly character, others... not so much! It grieves me to know that many who call themselves prophets are nothing more than what the Bible calls false teachers and false prophets. They are the wolves in sheep's clothing. They exploit and devour God's people for selfish gain. They speak lies and aid in promoting perpetual sin for filthy lucre. For this reason, it is vitally important to know how to discern a righteous prophet from an unrighteous one. I have made every effort to aid God's people to recognize the character and nature of a true and Godly prophet versus ungodly ones. It is a serious issue impacting the body of Christ and the world as a whole, yet I wondered why there weren't more teachings on false prophets at the countless conferences I had attended. So, one day, I just asked: "Lord, how do I know a false prophet from a true prophet?" The answer He provided me is what's in this book: revealed to me by the Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth. It is He who tells us what the Father is saying and reveals to us things to come. He revealed to me in the Word what false teachers and false prophets look like so I could spiritually discern them. That is the purpose for this book: that YOU may be equipped to discern the true from the false. The word says the tree is known by the fruit it bears. Whether you are looking to enjoy or produce the fruit of the prophetic yourself, you must examine it carefully. Is the fruit-bearing tree connected to the True Vine? Is it life-giving? The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1969, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from April 4 through August 9, 1969. As mentioned in the preface to volume 1, in early April Brother Lee made a brief visit to Waco, Texas, and at the beginning of May he visited San Francisco. At the end of May he traveled to Albuquerque, New Mexico; and then to Erie, Pennsylvania; Toronto, Canada; and Erie, Pennsylvania, a second time. Regrettably, there is no record of Brother Lee's speaking in his first visit to Erie and in his visit to Toronto. He returned to Los Angeles at the beginning of July and remained there until the end of August. The contents of this volume are divided into nine sections, as follows: 1. Six messages given in Waco, Texas, on April 4 through 6. These messages are included in this section under the title Experiencing and Enjoying the All-inclusive, Compound Spirit for the Building Up of the Church as God's Dwelling Place. The recording of one of the six messages appears to have been lost. 2. Seven messages given in San Francisco, California, on May 2 through 4.
