The cubicle: a small, compressed, half room where we spend half our lives bored, stressed, and secretly planning holidays. Where imagination and creativity die a slow death and ‘out of the box’ can mean only one thing—leaving the office. Mayukh, a young and harried manager, can’t believe his misfortune when he discovers one morning that his computer has been taken over by a virus. Especially when he has enough work on his plate to last him a lifetime. But things take a strange turn and soon the virus starts a revolution that gradually frees our hero from the tyranny of pressure and the shackles of stress. It reconnects him with his true self and family, and brings him more success than he could ever imagine. So if you’ve been spending more time in your cubicle than anywhere else, The Cubicle Manifesto is the revolution that you’ve been waiting for; one that you can start in the comfort of your own cubicle.

Ice Cube is one of the most influential figures in the history of rap and hip-hop. Best known for the vitriol of his angry black man recordings of the late 1980s and mid 1990s, Ice Cube epitomizes the genre often referred to as gangsta rap. Much of his music from these years is focused on the disturbing realities of life in black urban ghettos, and as a result it chronicles such complex and controversial issues as racial stereotypes, street gangs, racial profiling, black on black crime, teen pregnancy, absentee fathers, and male-female relationships. His recordings with NWA are noteworthy for their sardonic humor in discussing dire issues. The group's landmark CD Straight Outta Compton (1988) is a palette of urban woes recounted in aggressive and hostile street vernacular, while Ice Cube's recordings of the 1990s now represent paradigms of the gangsta style. The first three chapters of The Words and Music of Ice Cube explore Ice Cube's recordings between 1988 and 1996 and situate Ice Cube in the context of other rappers of this period-most notably Public Enemy, Ice-T, Tupac, Biggie, and Snoop Dogg-whose music also chronicled explosive issues in urban ghettos. The fourth chapter considers Ice Cube's career in film, beginning with a discussion of his performance in Boyz n the Hood and ending with a look at his most recent films, Barber Shop, Barber Shop II, Are We There Yet? And Are We Done Yet? The fifth and final chapter looks back over all of Ice Cube's work to date and considers his impact and his legacy in music and popular culture at large. .

What is the difference between a consumer and a shopper? Does your brand appeal to both of them? How does shopper behaviour differ from consumer behaviour? How important are 'channels' and 'retailers' in your brand's success? What is the science behind winning with shoppers and retailers? Shopper Marketing 101 successfully answers these questions and gives you a simple blue print that can help you make your brand plans such that you not only partner with the retail channel but also effectively win with the shopper. There are a plethora of books on marketing and branding today. However, there are not many books that can help your brand win in the retail space. This has become especially important today as retailers (brick and mortar as well as click and mortar) now have become powerful intermediaries and play a critical role in ensuring that your brand reaches its intended consumers via their shoppers. This book leverages real world examples and experiences to help you understand the basics of shopper marketing.

Satellite Earth observation (EO) data have already exceeded the petabyte scale and are increasingly freely and openly available from different data providers. This poses a number of issues in terms of volume (e.g., data volumes have increased 10× in the last 5 years); velocity (e.g., Sentinel-2 is capturing a new image of any given place every 5 days); and variety (e.g., different types of sensors, spatial/spectral resolutions). Traditional approaches to the acquisition, management, distribution, and analysis of EO data have limitations (e.g., data size, heterogeneity, and complexity) that impede their true information potential to be realized. Addressing these big data challenges requires a change of paradigm and a move away from local processing and data distribution methods to lower the barriers caused by data size and related complications in data management. To tackle these issues, EO data cubes (EODC) are a new paradigm revolutionizing the way users can store, organize, manage, and analyze EO data. This Special Issue is consequently aiming to cover the most recent advances in EODC developments and implementations to broaden the use of EO data to larger communities of users, support decision-makers with timely and actionable information converted into meaningful geophysical variables, and ultimately unlock the information power of EO data.

The Cube of Strategic Management: The Distinctive Advantage of Organizations is a trans-disciplinary book that introduces the author’s new business model of the geometrization of management. The author advocates that strategic management has to shift to include a science and technology perspective, to not only support business administration but also to make this scientific perspective an inherent part of management strategy building. The book spans the fundamental and the theoretical aspects and advances this new management model in response to the current and future 21st-century synergic interconnection needs in addressing management and marketing post-modern strategies. The book is a quintessence of the historical theories of the various 8th fold ideas of management (Taylor, Drucker, Peters & Waterman, Covey) and applies them in an innovative new way. The author uses the cube and its 8 corners for the first time to represent 8 forms of the strategic management way of business, in that the 8 corners of a cube represent the competitive advantage of (any) organization.
