No matter who you are or what you believe, you have the power to manifest what you want in life—a dream job, wealth, love, and health. In this concise and fascinating book, Tony Burroughs shows readers how to work with the Law of Agreement to change old beliefs about money, relationships, and health issues that are holding them back. He shares stories from his years of working with people from all over the world who are practicing living intentionally bringing into their lives that which serves the higher good and discarding the rest. The Law of Agreement says that as we lend our agreement to any belief, we reinforce it and make it stronger. Alternatively, as we refrain from lending our agreement to an idea that isn’t likely to give us the results we’re looking for, we dilute it and weaken its power over us and over everyone else simultaneously. Burroughs offers examples and stories that show how the Law of Agreement and its partner, the Law of Adversity, work simultaneously. What happens when we don’t get what we want? What is the opportunity in adversity? The Law of Agreement shows how adversity can lift us up and out of our routines and help us to reach deep inside ourselves for answers to life’s hardest questions. Full of real-life stories, examples, and solutions, The Law of Agreement is a practical and world changing book.

This edited collection is an interdisciplinary and international collaborative book that critically investigates the growing phenomenon of Indigenous-industry agreements – agreements that are formed between Indigenous peoples and companies involved in the extractive natural resource industry. These agreements are growing in number and relevance, but there has yet to be a systematic study of their formation and implementation. This groundbreaking collection is situated within frameworks that critically analyze and navigate relationships between Indigenous peoples and the extraction of natural resources. These relationships generate important questions in the context of Indigenous-industry agreements in diverse resource-rich countries including Australia and Canada, and regions such as Africa and Latin America. Beyond domestic legal and political contexts, the collection also interprets, navigates, and deploys international instruments such as the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples in order to fully comprehend the diverse expressions of Indigenous-industry agreements. Indigenous-Industry Agreements, Natural Resources and the Law presents chapters that comprehensively review agreements between Indigenous peoples and extractive companies. It situates these agreements within the broader framework of domestic and international law and politics, which define and are defined by the relationships between Indigenous peoples, extractive companies, governments, and other actors. The book presents the latest state of knowledge and insights on the subject and will be of value to researchers, academics, practitioners, Indigenous communities, policymakers, and students interested in extractive industries, public international law, Indigenous rights, contracts, natural resources law, and environmental law.

Just like natural laws, there are spiritual laws with cause and effect. God set the universe in motion with the power of His words and established the law of confession, but many believers have suffered needlessly by misunderstanding the power of their words. Dr. Bill Winston, pastor, Bible teacher, and host of the national television program Believer s Walk of Faith broadcast to over 100 million homes, reveals scriptural examples and vital teaching on the importance of the spoken word. Believers will uncover the enemy s deceptive plan to use their own words against them and what they can do to turn their situation around. 'One of the best things that ever happened to me, my family, and my church, was the revelation of the law of confession - we learned that the moment we win the battle over our words, we win the battle!' Dr. Bill Winston Controlling your words is one of the biggest challenges anyone will face in this life; the Bible reveals that the power of life and death are in the words you say. As you begin to change the words you speak, you will rewrite their future and revolutionize your life.

Beginning with Roman law, where the doctrine of consideration was unknown, he proceeds to an examination of the practical importance of the law of sales. This treatise was taken from a course of lectures given by the author in the law school of the University of Pennsylvania, where he also served as a trustee. Hare [1816-1905] edited a number of selections and reports of cases and "...was one of the half-dozen greatest judges that Pennsylvania has produced. He ascended the bench just after equity was introduced, as a general system, into Pennsylvania, and his contribution to its establishment was of great importance." The globalization of science, engineering, and medical research is proceeding rapidly. The globalization of research has important implications for the U.S. research enterprise, for the U.S. government agencies, academic institutions, and companies that support and perform research, and for the world at large. As science and technology capabilities grow around the world, U.S.-based organizations are finding that international collaborations and partnerships provide unique opportunities to enhance research and training. At the same time, significant obstacles exist to smooth collaboration across national borders. Enhancing international collaboration requires recognition of differences in culture, legitimate national security needs, and critical needs in education and training. In response to these trends, the Government-University-Industry Research Roundtable (GUIRR) launched a Working Group on International Research Collaborations (I-Group) in 2008, following its meeting on New Partnerships on a Global Platform that June. As part of I-Group's continuing effort, a workshop on Examining Core Elements of International Research Collaboration was held July 26-27, 2010 in Washington, DC. One primary goal of the workshop is to better understand the risks involved in international research collaboration for organizations and individual participants, and the mechanisms that can be used to manage those risks. Issues to be addressed in the workshop include the following: (1) Cultural Differences and Nuances; (2) Legal Issues and Agreements; (3) Differences in Ethical Standards; (4) Research Integrity and the Responsible Conduct of Research; (5) Intellectual Property; (6) Risk Management; (7) Export Controls; and (8) Strategies for Developing Meaningful International Collaborations. The goal for the workshop and the summary, Examining Core Elements of International Research Collaboration, is to serve as an information resource for participants and others interested in international research collaborations. It will also aid I-Group in setting its future goals and priorities.
