Reclamation isn’t about taking back what was stolen and winning. It’s about owning what you’ve always had and ending the war inside. New York Times bestselling author and published natural health reclamation advocate Kelly Brogan MD is back to push the envelope of discourse on self-ownership, authenticity, and sovereignty. This time, she has a message for all women: you deserve to feel alive. Showcasing the reasons modern women are living hollow, unfulfilling, overwhelming, and complaint-filled lives, The Reclaimed Women resolves the gaslight that says, we should be enjoying the freedom hard-wrought by feminism, sexual liberation, and medication. Women are lost, we’ve been duped, and we’ve abandoned our true nature in exchange for seeming empowerment. Masterful at offering women the permission to self-embrace, Brogan invites you to come home to yourself so that you can finally experience the specific pleasure of who you are. This book offers a provocative perspective on feminine reclamation including the imperative to learn the skills of self-safety in order to embody creative expression. Using actionable steps based on the experience of her own heroine’s journey, Brogan’s "one stop shop" will help you claim the jewels from the cave of your shame, own your badness, and align with your desires. Refreshing, candid, and transformational, The Reclaimed Woman exposes all of the ways that women are outsourcing their power and living life from childhood wounds in business, mothering, and relationships. If you feel like . . . you say no when you mean yes and yes when you mean no there’s more to you but don’t know how to access it you’re confused about where sexuality belongs in your life you feel you need to explain yourself to others who question your decisions you partner with safe, nice guys or try to control dangerous ones you make yourself small to make other women comfortable you’re bitter, jealous, resentful, and can easily describe women you can’t stand even the celebratory moments feel a bit empty . . . The Reclaimed Woman will shatter the glass ceiling of your too-small story, delivering you to your most audacious life.

Motherhood, for those of us for whom it was never in the cards, can shift the tectonic plates of your being and, in the process, level the life built upon them. Embracing this will shake you to the core and catalyze an expansion that swallows the life you leave behind whole-allowing you to live fully, heal the deepest parts of yourself, and emerge anew, not redesigned but renovated, able to create magic in your life in a way that you might not have accessed without this massive "disruption." Our culture teaches us that it's about balance. Finding time for yourself, making sure you take care of your own needs. I call bullshit. Balance isn't going to cut it for the kind of women this book is written for. This book is a guide to motherhood from a completely different perspective. It's about energy management, soul management. It's not about balancing your checkbook and budgeting your time; it's about creating a radical shift in who you are.

Imagine a world where a nationalistic distortion of Christianity has become the state religion. Imagine a world that divides people into two groups: those who are "Committed" to the state religion, and those who remain "Uncommitted," refusing to pledge their loyalty to the oppressive religious sect. Welcome to Wylie's world. Wylie, an Uncommitted teen, lives as a second-class citizen in a late twenty-first century reality where adherence to the state religion is everything. One day, forgotten recordings from a long-past college theology class invade Wylie's life and set her on a journey toward the miraculous. When Wylie connects with true-believer Abby through a virtual holo-story, past and present flow together in unexpected ways. Join Wylie on her adventure in this cautionary tale for believers who hope for a better way.

A unique feature of human development is that mothers and fathers are bound to a long period of child-rearing, during which the continuity of our species depends on the fulfilment of distinct parental roles and on the suppression of psychological potentials that conflict with those roles. But once the parental emergency is over, the author argues, men and women can assert those parts of their personalities curbed by the restrictions of raising children. It is this shift in roles - a product of evolution found throughout our species - that led David Gutmann to propose a new psychology of ageing, based not on the threat of loss but on the promise of important new pleasures and capacities.

The Feminine Reclaimed breaks new ground in the field of Renaissance scholarship. Stevie Davies considers the feminine principle as it was developed through the humanist and Neoplatonic revival of ancient classical learning and from this perspective approaches the major works of the three great literary figures of the English Renaissance—Spenser, Shakespeare, and Milton. Through close, perceptive readings of their most crucial works, informed by a familiarity with the whole range of their context in the European literature and thought of their time, Stevie Davies is able to demonstrate the great importance of the feminine principle in the consciousness of these writers and their age, a time of political, religious, and social upheaval in which perceptions of woman and her status in society underwent momentous changes. She analyzes guiding symbols, mythical allusions, and literary structures in major works by the three poets to show that this rediscovered image of the feminine was incorporated into The Faerie Queene, Shakespeare's last plays, and Paradise Lost in such a manner as to create an alternative system of values which either redefined or criticized the patriarchal structures of the contemporary world.
