DOWNLOAD EBOOKIt may be true that no athlete is bigger than the game, but one thing is certain: Tiger Woods is golf. From dominating the junior ranks in his boyhood, to becoming the first player in history to hold four major championship trophies at once—the Masters, U.S. Open, British Open, and PGA—it has been his mental game that fuels his fire. For the first time ever, John Andrisani explores the mind and its expansive application to golf, using Tiger Woods as the ultimate role model. Think Like Tiger shows how the champion’s techniques can be applied to anyone’s game. Learn how to: • Use the power of concentration to let nothing disturb you • Meditate to alleviate mental stress and relax muscles • Use your imagination when planning shots • Practice shots that will stimulate your mind • Develop your own system for inducing self-confidence “I’m honored to say that I was one of the official members of ‘Team Tiger’. DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe figure of the white hunter sahib proudly standing over the carcass of a tiger with a gun in hand is one of the most powerful and enduring images of the empire. This book examines the colonial politics that allowed British imperialists to indulge in such grand posturing as the rulers and protectors of indigenous populations. This work studies the history of hunting and conservation in colonial India during the high imperial decades of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. At this time, not only did hunting serve as a metaphor for colonial rule signifying the virile sportsmanship of the British hunter, but it also enabled vital everyday governance through the embodiment of the figure of the officer–hunter–administrator. Using archival material and published sources, the author examines hunting and wildlife conservation from various social and ethnic perspectives, and also in different geographical contexts, extending our understanding of the link between shikar and governance.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThis most enjoyable book is a sure way to fall in love with forests and their enchanting animals! Written during one hot Indian summer, as this talented and candid author puts it, this book "is an attempt 'to paint the picture' -- they are the actual experiences of a 'jungle foot slogger' who, with limited means has always run his own show -- and learned the jungles, from his own experience and study." Since the author was in the Army, the 3-10th Baluch Regiment (Queen Mary's Own), he wrote this book keeping in mind his colleagues from his Regiment who he thought would benefit from his understanding of the jungles of India. Today, his book stands out for its style, language, depth and keen understanding of the animal world. "I would only add, go into the jungle with a true sporting instinct . . . to study the life of the 'jungle folk' -- really study it. Learn the ways, the habits and the cunning, not only of big animals, but of the monkeys, vultures, buzzards, falcons, peafowl, jungle fowl, martens, weasels, stoats and even of the insects." The book has a special section on Hawking in India. A little gift awaits the reader at the end of the book -- a heart-warming true story of an adorable baby bear, Shaitan Bhalu. The photographs of Shaitan and their adjoining captions make the story come alive!
