In the last day, the church will be a whore church made up of people who have been trapped in offenses for years but who have never repented and received Gods grace. Matthew 24:1012 says, And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Offenses seem to be a sign of the coming of the Lord. In overwhelming numbers, Christians today are offended for one reason or another. God cant use an offended person. The church is filled with offended people who have been rendered useless. The progression of offense is: 1. Offense 2. Betrayal 3. Hatred 4. Deception by false prophets (usually those offended) 5. Love waxed cold Offense is Satans choice of weapon during the twenty-first century. Once youre offended, Satan has the advantage over you, unless you become offense-proof. Our churches must become a place where people from all walks of life can feel welcome. No longer can churches allow denominational barriers and doctrinal dogmas to separate people. Our churches must become offense-free zones if we are to do the work of true ministry.

One Roman soldier is the only man who can stop barbarians from destroying a city in this historical adventure by the author of Lion in the Son. Ephesus, Asia’s metropolis, lies in ruins, shattered by a mighty earthquake. Its citizens live in fear as mobs overwhelm the city, baying for blood to avenge the gods who have punished them. At the same time, an even greater threat to the security of the empire advances from the north. The barbaric Goth tribes sail toward Ephesus, determined to pillage the weakened city. Only Ballista, Warrior of Rome, knows the ways of the barbarians—and only he can defeat them. Renowned for their skilled blending of action and historical accuracy, Sidebottom’s Warrior of Rome novels take the reader from the shouts of the battlefield to the whisperings of the emperor's inner circle. Rich in detail and punctuated by harrowing action, there’s no better way to transport yourself back to the Roman Empire. “[The] fiction rises above the research, bringing history alive in gory detail. . . . Sidebottom remains consistently meticulous about detail, old-fashioned about storytelling, and astute in portraying political backstabbing worthy of the modern arena.” —Publishers Weekly

Leon Aron considers the “mystery of the Soviet collapse” and finds answers in the intellectual and moral self-scrutiny of glasnost that brought about a profound shift in values. Reviewing the entire output of the key glasnost outlets in 1987-1991, he elucidates and documents key themes in this national soul-searching and the “ultimate” questions that sparked moral awakening of a great nation: “Who are we? How do we live honorably? What is a dignified relationship between man and state? How do we atone for the moral breakdown of Stalinism?” Contributing both to the theory of revolutions and history of ideas, Aron presents a thorough and original narrative about new ideas’ dissemination through the various media of the former Soviet Union. Aron shows how, reaching every corner of the nation, these ideas destroyed the moral foundation of the Soviet state, de-legitimized it and made its collapse inevitable.

Steve lives on a wheat farm. He has everything he needs to live in the Minecraft world: a bed, a house, and food. Steve likes to spend his mornings in the NPC village and trade his wheat for emeralds, armor, books, swords, and food. One morning, he finds that Zombies have attacked the villagers. The Zombies have also turned the village blacksmith into a Zombie, leaving Steve without a place to get swords. To protect himself and the few villagers that remain, Steve goes on a quest to mine for forty diamonds, which are the most powerful mineral in the Overworld. He wants to craft these diamonds into a diamond sword to shield him and the villagers from the Zombies. Far from his home, with night about to set in, Steve fears for his life. Nighttime is when users are most vulnerable in Minecraft. As he looks for shelter in a temple, he meets a trio of treasure hunters, Max, Lucy, and Henry, who are trying to unearth the treasure under the temple. Steve tells them of his master plan to mine for the most powerful mineral in the Overworld—the diamond. The treasure hunters are eager to join him. Facing treacherous mining conditions, a thunderstorm, and attacks from hostile mobs, these four friends’ question if it’s better to be a single player than a multiplayer, as they try to watch out for each other and chase Steve’s dream at the same time. Will Steve find the diamonds? Will his friends help or hinder the search? Should he trust his new treasure hunter friends? And will Steve get back in time to save the villagers?
