The WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT HOUR Offers Christian leaders a practical, interactive and scripturally based program designed to help exhort the gifts of power and love within women. God's daughters are equipped to bring life to a shattered world However, we are so often overwhelmed by the pain of our past, responsibilities of the present and fears of our future that we never reach God's complete purpose for our existence. This Program establishes a forum to address most of the issues and concerns impacting a woman's personal and professional life. Through interactive sharing and the use of current resources, positive options and resolutions are uncovered. Participants experience a self actualizing energy which enables them to obtain desired changes. A major success of this program is the long term establishment of a network of relationships, knowledge and resources that support and strengthen the women who have participated. Their families' communities and churches greatly benefit from the reclaimed power within these mothers, daughters, sisters, wives and leaders. Brenda Joyce Dawson, a forty year merited educator, public servant and lay minister is recognized as an "unsung heroine". Her directed path has brought comfort and hope to many, especially those who are often overlooked or disenfranchised. For the past seven years as founder and president of I AM Ministries of Miami-Dade/Broward; she has directed services and programs to emphasize and reclaim the value of the family unit. Her passion is expressed through her many accomplishments involving women and teenage girls. This native of Miami, Florida has been married to her high school sweetheart for forty-five years and is the mother of two adult children and grandmother of four. She is a compassionate lady who believes "everyone who finds the power of love within will always leave what they found better than it was before."

Globally, women are facing social, economic, and cultural barriers impeding their autonomy and agency. Accelerated women empowerment programs often fail to attain their targets as envisaged by the policymakers due to a variety of reasons, with the most prominent being the deep-rooted cultural norms ingrained within society. In the era of globalization, empowerment of women demands new approaches and strategies that encourage the mainstreaming of gender equality as a societal norm. The Handbook of Research on New Dimensions of Gender Mainstreaming and Women Empowerment is a critical scholarly publication that examines global gender issues and new strategies for the promotion of women empowerment and gender mainstreaming in various spheres of women’s lives, including education and ICT, economic participation, health and sexuality, mental health, aging, law and judiciary, leadership, and decision making. It provides a comprehensive coverage of all major gender issues with novel ideas on gender mainstreaming being contributed by men and women authors from multidisciplinary backgrounds. Gender perspective and intersectional approach in the discourses make this handbook a unique contribution to the scholarship of social sciences and humanities. The book provides new theoretical inputs and practical directions to academicians, sociologists, social workers, psychologists, managers, lawyers, policy makers, and government officials in their efforts at gender mainstreaming. With a wide range of conceptual richness, this handbook is an excellent reference guide to students and researchers in programs pertaining to gender/women's studies, cultural studies, economics, sociology, social work, medicine, law, and management.

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), one of the research centers within the global Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), has a long history of gender research relevant to its mission of reducing poverty and ending hunger and malnutrition. Over the last two decades, gender has been effectively incorporated into all of IFPRI’s strategic research areas and into all phases of research. There is abundant evidence of IFPRI’s role as a leading global think tank on gender issues. The broader CGIAR shares IFPRI’s strong commitment to high-quality gender research. This commitment is embodied in the CGIAR Gender Impact Platform, the CGIAR Research Initiative on Gender Equality, and a network of gender research coordinators embedded in all CGIAR centers. Collectively, these efforts and their affiliated gender researchers work continuously with partners to fill gender and inclusion evidence gaps; build capacity and set directions to enable CGIAR to have maximum impact on gender equality; and promote opportunities for youth and social inclusion in agriculture and food systems.
