Times of doubt may come, and the storms of life may assail them; but if we belong to Christ, we are held by him and will belong to him always. Such biblical truth should cause Christians to draw near humbly to the throne of God to know and grow in the love of God. God's love serves as a constant reminder that God is always watching, ready to help you in any way you need or even just want. God's love ranges from his fierce protection of these followers to the promise that his love will never falter no matter what. Many years ago, I had a vision full of dreams of putting a positive drop in the ocean of life to help create a better world for all of us in generations to come. I saw with a broken mirror, with a world full of tears, full of hurts and frustration with deepening pain, which cried endlessly for a red cross band-aid and cure. It was many years later that my vision was written on paper in the form of poetry. My many trials and suffering, along with many running off the road of light, with dead ends did not go in vain. I hope my many poems of love, Jesus, Mary, peace, and the poor will help to inspire each reader to open their eyes and minds wider to Jesus endless love and dreamers with authentic peace, with their hearts open to realize the suffering and the huge rocky mountain that the poor and unwanted, lost and forgotten, climb that mountain courageously day after day. You may be passing by a war hero in disguise many have despairing stories to tell. Jesus dwells in the suffering poor. He loves his forgotten lamb in the same way that he loves us. Please give them dignity and respect for they struggle for the good life with the little that they have with hopeful courage, and a trail of brokenness and pain, with hanging on to the Lord's strength and his many crosses to turn their darkness into God's light. So be a brother or sister to them and lend them a hand when you can, their destiny starts and ends with you.

Latasha Humphries was born Latasha Elaine Jeanette Roberson on May 22, 1977. She was raised by her mother and a host of aunts and uncles, growing up with an unknown father who was/has been MIA. At the age of eight a life altering event caused her to acknowledge and embrace her gift of writing. She has been writing poetry since that time. She was given the gift of seven beautiful children. Unfortunately, in 2002 she experienced the loss of her 3 year old daughter, Ki'Tanna Alaysia Elaine Humphries. She fought the system in an attempt to keep custody of her two other children at that time. Three years after burying her daughter she was sent to prison for 5 years. During her time of incarceration she began to strive to help others by using her experiences of pain, trials, and tribulations. Today she is continuing her education and continuing her fight to help others and improve the lives of those she loves. On June 07, 2012 she was reunited with her oldest son that "people" told her she would never see again. She finds herself relying on several inspirational words and thoughts. She prays that one of these can be an inspiration to someone else. "If you put it out there they can't use it against you", "As long as someone else is talking about that means you are important to them. Because while you're handling your business they're too busy watching you to handle theirs", "If you cannot change it yourself don't stress, you will only make yourself sick", and "If you look for love you will only find pain, if you love yourself true love will find you."

Scripture says to . . . be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ . . . (Eph. 5:18b-19). The Lord has given Virginia a gift to write and sing prayers and praises from her heart. The Lord is magnifi ed as she speaks of her Savior, His Word, and how He is the only One who can fi ll the empty cavities of our souls, as she so eloquently says in one of her prayer-songs. She speaks of Jesus unceasing love for her, and of her deep love for Him. She speaks of Jesus holding her hand and never letting go, and her words are fi lled with thanksgiving.
