Inspire Integrity is addicting. It focuses on what it means to live an authentic life. Its chapters encourage people of all ages and circumstances to understand that authentic success comes from the attainment of: (1) a sincere sense of contentment, (2) strong personal relationships, and (3) a solid character. This is much different from worldly success such as excessive wealth, fame and popularity - things which, in and of themselves, do not have the capacity to make a person happy. It is designed to help people look critically at their life, think through their decisions, set priorities and goals, develop a solid character, avoid serious mistakes and discover their true passion in life. It draws on the major ethical frameworks of Aristotle, Mill and Kant as well as the Golden Rule as tools to avoid Benjamin Franklin's warning that people tend to get old too soon and wise too late. It presents a roadmap to accomplish this mission and advocates that each reader start the journey to authentic success now! Inspire Integrity focuses on the story of Cash, the racing greyhound, who is world famous and has won tens of millions of dollars winning races. The biggest race of his life is on the horizon and everyone is there, including the press, to cover history in the making. If he wins the race his owner will receive a million-dollar prize. The night before the race, Cash reveals he's not going to race the next day and that he is retiring completely. Shocked, the owner asks him whether he is hurt, mad at her, or too old? He responds that it's none of those things. In fact, he's been doing a lot of critical thinking about his life and has come to the conclusion that all he's ever done is run around dirt racetracks, and he just cannot do it anymore. He finally understands that those little white rabbits that everyone encourages him to chase day and night aren't even real.

How do today’s most successful tech companies—Amazon, Google, Facebook, Netflix, Tesla—design, develop, and deploy the products that have earned the love of literally billions of people around the world? Perhaps surprisingly, they do it very differently than the vast majority of tech companies. In INSPIRED, technology product management thought leader Marty Cagan provides readers with a master class in how to structure and staff a vibrant and successful product organization, and how to discover and deliver technology products that your customers will love—and that will work for your business. With sections on assembling the right people and skillsets, discovering the right product, embracing an effective yet lightweight process, and creating a strong product culture, readers can take the information they learn and immediately leverage it within their own organizations—dramatically improving their own product efforts. Whether you’re an early stage startup working to get to product/market fit, or a growth-stage company working to scale your product organization, or a large, long-established company trying to regain your ability to consistently deliver new value for your customers, INSPIRED will take you and your product organization to a new level of customer engagement, consistent innovation, and business success. Filled with the author’s own personal stories—and profiles of some of today’s most-successful product managers and technology-powered product companies, including Adobe, Apple, BBC, Google, Microsoft, and Netflix—INSPIRED will show you how to turn up the dial of your own product efforts, creating technology products your customers love. The first edition of INSPIRED, published ten years ago, established itself as the primary reference for technology product managers, and can be found on the shelves of nearly every successful technology product company worldwide. This thoroughly updated second edition shares the same objective of being the most valuable resource for technology product managers, yet it is completely new—sharing the latest practices and techniques of today’s most-successful tech product companies, and the men and women behind every great product.

Parenting by example. Using the simple, powerful message that turned Children Learn What They Live into an international bestseller with over 1.5 million copies in print, Drs. Dorothy Law Nolte and Rachel Harris bring their unique perspective to families with adolescents. Structured, like the first book, around an inspirational poem, Teenagers Learn What They Live addresses the turbulent teenage years, when a stew of hormones, pressures, and temptations makes for such extreme challenges for parents and children. Teenagers addresses popularity and peer pressure ("If teenagers live with rejection, they learn to feel lost"); the responsibilities of maturity ("If teenagers live with too many rules, they learn how to get around them./ If teenagers live with too few rules, they learn to ignore the needs of others"); body image and the allure of cigarettes, drugs, and alcohol ("If teenagers live with healthy habits, they learn to be kind to their bodies"). Central to the book are ways for parents to communicate with their teenage children-including how to deal with being "tuned out" and when to start the conversation again-and how to strike the right balance between holding on and accepting a teen's growing independence. Hundreds of examples of parent-child interactions cover everything from the all-night graduation party to problems of sexual identity, providing great guidance as well as effective conversation starters.

Powerful Lessons in Integrity. The writers of the Bible speak to us with their words, and the Bible's characters speak to us with their lives. Their powerful examples reveal the spiritual inspiration and brilliant insight the human writers and the divine Writer intended. Times, cultures, traditions, and societal values may change from century to century, but human nature does not. We value people whose words and actions reflect their true thoughts and intentions. People of integrity purposely integrate their own thoughts, words, and behaviors. They work at making their own hearts and minds, thoughts and ideas consistent with the godly character portrayed in Scripture. These twenty-five Bible personalities in Choose Your Character cultivate a desire to deepen the commitment to live a life of unfailing integrity. Their examples teach us how to increase our personal satisfaction and effectiveness while strengthening our ability to influence others. Ron Meyers, PhD was raised in a pioneer pastor's home. When he followed his passion for international missions work forty years ago, he never imagined the rich educational curriculum God had for him. He, with his wife, Char, served more years outside the U.S. as pastors in Canada and missionaries in Korea and China than their years in the U.S. From 1996 through 2006, he served as the Professor of Missions and Coordinator of the Master of Arts in Missions program in the School of Theology and Missions at Oral Roberts University. He and Char now live in southern Africa and train pastors in the more than forty sub-Sahara nations of southern Africa. For more information, visit www.LEResouces.com.
