Her dying request of the author was for her to find Lilly a full and purposeful life. Like "a dog with a bone" Kocour tenaciously follows a seemingly impossible road to find Lilly's true calling. Saving Lilly is about a promise to a friend, letting God lead the way and then knowing when to let go. Be very patient as you read as you will wonder where the story is going...wait for it. This story is what Kocour calls a "God thing". As Marita always knew about Lilly, this rescue dog was destined for great things.
